Kim Kardashian slammed for tone deaf ‘stop Asian hate’ tweet following Atlanta shooting
Kim Kardashian has again come under fire for being “tone deaf” after posting a poorly worded tweet about the Atlanta shootings this week.
Kim Kardashian has been branded “tone deaf” yet again for her response to the Atlanta shootings this week, with fans imploring her to “think first, then write”.
After a 21-year-old man opened fire across three different massage parlours on Tuesday, killing eight people, six who were Asian women, the reality star took to Twitter and her Instagram Story to condemn the act of terrorism.
Kardashian, 40, posted a tile that read: “Stop Asian Hate,” along with the caption: “It breaks my heart seeing all of these devastating stories of the violent cases towards Asians that happens every day, particularly the elderly. Asians are human and deserve to be treated as such!”

Kardashian is no stranger to an online pile-on, having been criticised amid the coronavirus pandemic for lavish displays of wealth on social media while many around the world are struggling financially.
She’s also been accused of cultural appropriation a number of times by fans.
This week, followers slammed the choice of wording in her Atlanta post, particularly her assertion that “Asians are human”.
“Thanks for reminding us that a group of people are human. You would think this was a given but I guess white America needs to be reminded. It’s disgusting,” one wrote.

Another added: “Asians are humans? Was there a doubt by anyone such that you had to declare that? You might want to walk that back given that you are trying to support Asians. Think first, then write.”
One more called her words “beyond tone deaf”.
I was struck by the grammatical errors. Isnât she in law school?? Vague pronoun reference, subject/verb agreement error! And the âhumansâ comment is just beyond tone deaf. This is the problem with wealthy people who try to wax poetic. @KimKardashian step up, or step off!!

Police arrested Robert Aaron Long, 21, from Woodstock, Georgia, for the killing spree alleging that he entered three different massage parlours on Tuesday and opened fire while inside.
Mr Long has been charged with eight counts of murder, according to USA Today.
It has been reported that Mr Long has admitted to the killings, telling police he was motivated by his “addiction to sex”. Police have since said they do not believe the killings were racially motivated.
Police have said that after speaking with Mr Long, they believe he viewed the three spas as “an outlet for him” to indulge his sex addiction, according to Captain Jay Baker of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
“He apparently has an issue, what he considers a sex addiction, and sees these locations as … a temptation for him that he wanted to eliminate,” Captain Baker said.
