Since the couple’s loved-up display on the red carpet, fans have noticed some bizarre movement on social media. Origliasso — one half of music duo The Veronicas — has unfollowed Rose on Twitter and Instagram.

Meanwhile, Rose has deleted all photos of herself with Origliasso on Instagram. But she still follows Jess on Twitter.

Fans of the pair — who have been dating since November last year — were quick to notice the behaviour and freaked out over the potential break up accordingly. Tweets from fans were equal parts sympathetic and demanding.

“Why did you unfollow @rubyrose,” one asked Origliasso on social media. “You broke up with her? Tell me what happened with you and Ruby I am your fan and I want to know what happened with you and Ruby.”

The bizarre social media behaviour comes one month after Rose shocked fans with a since-deleted tweet posted in the wake of Australia’s historic same-sex marriage survey result.

In the message, she claimed her girlfriend’s twin sister Lisa had told them they “should feel ‘lucky’ we don’t get stoned to death like they do in other countries and to get over it a few months ago”.

After deleting the tweet, Rose followed up by saying she “shouldn’t stoop to her level” and to “not let the people below try to drag me down”.
