Toni Collette’s ex-husband spotted kissing Aussie actress

The Knives Out star’s ex-husband engaged in some PDA as he enjoyed a surfing date with another very well-known actress.

Toni Collette’s ex-husband has been spotted in a passionate embrace with another Australian actress, confirming the unexpected new romance.

David Galafassi, 47, was seen kissing Bump star Claudia Karvan as they surfed together at Bondi Beach earlier this month.

In a series of photos, the wetsuit-clad pair floated around on their boards and exchanged kisses as they enjoyed their ocean date.

“They just seemed really happy together and weren’t bothered by anyone seeing them,” a witness told Woman’s Day.

Collette, 51, announced her divorce from her husband of nearly two decades in late 2022.

Meanwhile, Karvan’s last known relationship was with Jeremy Sparks, which lasted 22 years but ended in 2017. The exes are parents to Audrey, 22, and Albee, 17.

Collette and Galafassi’s shock split came just a few years after their relocation back to Sydney from Los Angeles in 2019 with their daughter Sage, 14, and son Arlo, 11. They had lived in the US since the early 2000s.

The Knives Out actress took to Instagram to share a joint statement from herself and Galafassi last December, shortly after pictures emerged of him kissing a mystery woman in Sydney.

“It is with grace and gratitude that we announce we are divorcing. We’re united in our decision and part with continuing respect and care for each other,” Collette began her post.

“Our kids are of paramount importance to us and we will continue to thrive as a family, albeit a different shape. We’re thankful for the space and love you grant us as we evolve and move through this transition peacefully. Big thanks.”

Collette also took to her Instagram stories hours before the divorce announcement with a cryptic quote, which read: “No matter what your current circumstances are, if you can imagine something better for yourself, you can create it.”
