The real reason Alex Nation split from her fiancee Maegan Luxa

JUST a few months ago, Bachelor star Alex Nation was proudly showing off her new engagement ring from fiancee Maegan Luxa. Now, friends say the pair have called it quits.

NEW reports have pointed to a “tumultuous few months” in the lead-up to Alex Nation’s rumoured split from fiancee Maegan Luxa.

Woman’s Day reports that Nation, who found fame after winning Richie Strahan’s season of The Bachelor in 2016, would be “out living the high life at nightclubs and fashion shows” while Luxa would more often choose to “stay at home”.

The magazine also reports that Luxa’s loved ones were concerned she was Nation’s “personal photographer”.

Reports first began to surface last week that the couple had split, with Luxa and Nation photographed looking tense at a cafe in the days afterwards.

Despite being all over Instagram, Nation hasn’t posted a photo with her partner since late last year.

Nation and Luxa revealed their engagement in December. The women were photographed kissing as they strolled alongside the ocean in Melbourne, with the former reality TV star’s teardrop-shaped engagement ring clearly visible.

The pair first went public with their romance last August after meeting through their shared AFL women’s team, the Frankston Bombers, with the star describing their love as a “wonderful adventure”.

“When it comes to love, my friends and family would tell you that my heart isn’t one to discriminate,” Nation captioned a black and white photo of her and her girlfriend on Instagram.

“I very much fall for a person and the connection that I share with them. My heart is a wild thing, it craves extraordinary adventure. It’s impulsive, sometimes a little dysfunctional but it’s big and loud and I follow it to the nth degree. What a wonderful adventure it is with her.”
