Suzi Taylor: ‘Dickie was nothing compared to Michael Hutchence’

BLOCK star Suzi Taylor has taken a swipe at Today show co-host Richard Wilkins, comparing him to her former rock star lover.

WHEN Richard Wilkins “hooked up with” Suzi Taylor, surely he had no idea he’d be compared to the reality TV star’s former rock star lover.

The Block contestant has revealed even more details about her steamy two-month romance with the Today show co-host, telling the Courier Mail he paled in comparison to her other ex-lover, former INXS frontman Michael Hutchence.

“Dickie was nothing compared to Michael Hutchence,” the 44-year-old reality star said. “Not in the same league.”

Ouch.

Taylor claims she and the late Aussie musician had a long-distance romance during his days at the top of the charts.

The one-time Penthouse model’s latest comments come one day after she divulged details about her fling with Dickie.

Taylor claimed she first met the 61-year-old entertainment reporter at an event in Queensland and said she would wait in her G-string for him at his Sydney home during their time together.

“We were at the Channel 9 telethon when we first connected,” the mother-of-three said.

“From there, I would go to Sydney to see him. He gave me access to his house and I would be there in my underwear waiting for him when he got home from work.”

Suzi Taylor says she and Richard Wilkins has a steamy two-month relationship.

Taylor claimed that the relationship lasted a few months, but was ended abruptly by Wilkins over the phone.

It’s believed Wilkins put an end to things not long after Taylor collapsed on the set of Nine’s reality renovation show and was later admitted to rehab.

In the past, both Wilkins and Taylor have denied that they were romantically involved.

Rumours started circulating in November last year when they were snapped together, and Wilkins’ son, Christian, added weight to the rumour when he posted a photo with Taylor on his Instagram account.

But Wilkins was adamant that nothing was going on and released a statement at the time saying, “I am not romantically involved with Suzi from The Block”.

Channel Nine also released a statement denying the rumours, saying, “Richard Wilkins and Suzi Taylor are not and have never been in a relationship”.

At the time, Taylor claimed the two were “just friends” and added, “He’s a great mentor and it’s nice to have people like that in your life”.

Both Taylor and Wilkins went to ground as news of their relationship broke on Monday. The TV presenter has not commented on Taylor’s allegations of ­a romance.

Taylor has previously shared details about her romance with Hutchence, calling herself the rocker’s “girl on the Gold Coast”.

“Michael Hutchence was a close friend of mine,” she told A Current Affair in September.

“We met when I think Michael needed company in his life. He would give me a call and have a lovely catch up.”
