Selena Gomez has finally shared she’s engaged to Benny Blanco, Taylor Swift reacts

Fans were already losing it after Selena Gomez shared a huge personal update online, but once Taylor Swift entered the scene, the hype went into overdrive.

Selena Gomez has confirmed she’s engaged to her producer boyfriend, Benny Blanco, with a lovely Instagram post.

“Forever begins now,” she wrote.

Stars around the globe are congratulating her in droves, and none other than pop superstar Taylor Swift has declared she will be a flower girl at the ceremony.

“Yes I will be the flower girl,” Swift commented, attracting over 260,000 likes in minutes.

Golden Globe nominee Gomez also showed off her ring and a photo of her and Blanco cuddling, assumingly just after he asked her to marry him.

Blanco, 36, replied and said, “Hey that is my wife”.

The 32-year-old was beaming in the photos she posted and she’s been dating Blanco since at least mid-2023.

Gomez has been private about her personal life since her break-up from Justin Bieber, a relationship that was on/off and spanned from 2010 to 2018.

Things were finally called off for good after Bieber married Hailey Bieber in September 2018, which shocked fans at the time.

Gomez has been surprisingly open about her relationship with Blanco.

Posting photos of him on her social media and raving about him in interviews instead of coyly avoiding questions.

When Blanco snagged a spot in People’s Sexiest Man Alive issue, Gomez wrote “That’s my man,” on social media.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, she also said she was “beyond proud to know that there is someone in the world who deeply cares about every tiny detail about who I am. “

“More than anything he’s just my best friend. I’m really, really lucky.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter she said this relationship was the “safest” she’s ever felt with anyone.

“I see a future with this person,” she said.

Gomez added that she found that sharing some stuff online meant people weren’t trying to “hunt down” more information about the couple.

She’s also referred to him on social media as the “love of her life” Meanwhile Blanco hasn’t been shy about the romance either.

He recently posted a sweet photo of them cuddling on Instagram and added, “I love you.” When he appeared on Howard Stern this May, he admitted he was keen to put a ring on it.

During the chat, Blanco shared that Gomez was his “best friend” and that they spent all day laughing together, and she inspired him.

When Stern said that he thought Blanco and Gomez would end up getting married, the producer agreed.

“You and me both,” he said.

He confessed he hadn’t bought a ring yet and joked he needed to get his “act together.”
