Singer and actress Selena Gomez, who is also an entrepreneur, can add one more title to her list of accomplishments: billionaire.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the “Only Murders in the Building” star is worth a jaw-dropping $US1.3 billion ($A1.8 billion).

The outlet reports a majority of Gomez’s wealth stems from her cosmetics company Rare Beauty, which she launched in 2020. The 32-year-old is one of the youngest billionaires on the list.

Asked about her new found 10-figure status, the pop singer told “Entertainment Tonight” “I’m very grateful,” but added: “I personally think it’s distasteful to talk about money, but I really am giving all the credit to people who buy the products.”

According to Realtor, Gomez also has amassed quite the property portfolio since shooting to stardom. Here are the homes she loves and are part of her billion dollar empire and some she is less enamoured about.

Encino, California

In 2020, the one-time Disney star snapped up late rocker Tom Petty’s former estate for $US4.9 million.

The property was custom-built in 1989.

The five-bedroom mansion with soaring ceilings and a gourmet kitchen features a rockin’ lower level that includes a wine cellar, gym, massage room, creative work area, kitchen, vocal booth, den, and guest suite.

Woodland Hills, California

The “Who Says” singer purchased the four-bedroom home in 2017 for $US1.8 million, property records show.

The family room offers a home theatre, wood-beamed ceilings, and built-ins.

The primary retreat has a large walk-in closet, fireplace, and spa-inspired bath with a rainfall shower and a jetted tub.

Set on a half-acre, the property has a pool, fire pit, and an outdoor kitchen.

Studio City, California

After purchasing the three-bedroom home in 2017 for $US2.24 million, Gomez almost immediately changed her mind. She listed the house back on the market in 2018 for $US2.79 million and again in 2019.

Then, during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, she sheltered in place in this chic spot, posting cooking shots from her cute kitchen on social media.

In August 2020, she relisted the pad for $US2,395,000. It sold a month later for $US2,368,000.

The home features herringbone-patterned brick floors, privacy hedges, and white wood. Inside there’s wide-plank oak flooring and updated lighting.

An open kitchen, media space, a library with a fireplace, and a casual dining room are ideal for entertaining guests. The backyard comes with a kitchen, dining area, pool, and guesthouse.

Calabasas, California

In 2015, the “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum put a crib on the market for $US4,495,000. She’d bought the place in 2014 for $US3.7 million and was apparently looking for a quick return on her short-term investment.

The custom abode has five bedrooms, five fireplaces, a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast nook, a formal dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, an outdoor courtyard, a theatre, a gym, and a guesthouse.

But it didn’t have enough privacy. The swanky spot had problems with intruders, which probably led to Gomez’s decision to sell it in 2016, agreeing to the sum of $US3.3 million.

Tarzana, California

In 2011, while still a teen, Gomez’s parents, through a trust, reportedly picked up a San Fernando Valley home, where the young star lived for a time.

The five-bedroom, 7.5-bath property was completely remodelled. The dwelling sits on under an acre filled with outdoor amenities such as a pool, full basketball court, bocce court, pergola, and even an orchard.

It came on the market for $US3.495 million in 2014 and sold for $US3.45 million.

Fort Worth, Texas

The Texas native picked up a sprawling property in 2015 as a spot to stay while she visited family, but she didn’t hang on to it long. She placed the home in early 2016 for $US3.5 million, before taking it off the market shortly thereafter.

In 2018, she relisted the mansion once more, this time for $US3 million. It was reduced to $US2.7 million months later, and the home was finally sold.

The stone-clad mansion offers a range of impressive amenities, including an open living area and entertainment features such as a home theatre, a game room with a wet bar, a crafts room, and coffee bar.

The lush grounds include a lagoon-shaped saltwater pool, putting green, sport court, and two garages.

NYC rental, hold the “Murders”

On the first season of her show “Only Murders in the Building,” the actress reportedly moved into a New York City apartment rental.

Located in the quiet Upper East Side, little is known about the actual unit. But that’s apparently part of the charm.

She told Rolling Stone that she enjoys the anonymity the city affords her.

“I have my system there,” she revealed. “I have my workouts there, I have my coffee spots there. I get to walk and breathe there and be inspired by New York City and the people and the life there.”
