Sam Frost engaged to Survivor star Jordie Hansen after six months

After going public with her new relationship just a few months ago, Sam Frost has suddenly announced she’s engaged to her reality star boyfriend.

Former Home And Away star Sam Frost has announced she’s engaged to her boyfriend of six months, Jordie Hansen.

The 33-year-old former Bachelor contestant and her 26-year-old Survivor beau dropped the surprise news on episode one of their new podcast, Jordie and Sam’s Rural Roadtrip, recalling how Hansen popped the question at sunset in northern South Australia.

“Jordie and I are so excited to be doing this,” Frost said at the beginning of the episode.

“It’s a very important time of our lives, we just recently got engaged and to celebrate we thought, let’s hit the road, let’s go on a 14-day road trip!”

Hansen went on to recall how he went about the proposal, revealing the slight mishap that meant they had no footage of the romantic moment.

“We were at Uluru, we’d just woken up, having brekky, we were about to head down south. Sambo had just been delivered her coffee, so I said to her, ‘Hey, when would you say yes to getting married’,” he began.

“I said, ‘pretty much, any time from now’,” added Sam.

“I took that as, I’m going to do it this afternoon,” Hansen said, recalling frantically packing up the camp to head to Breakaways at Coober Pedy for a sunset proposal.

But while the couple made it in time, and Frost of course said ‘yes’ in the scenic surrounds, the moment wasn’t captured on camera due to Hansen’s clumsy set up.

The loved-up couple recently moved in together in Melbourne.

“We’ve pressed play on the video and Sam has gone ‘oh darling, we’re out of shot’. All you can see is the bottom of my foot because I was down on one knee,” he laughed.

Chiming in, Frost said she had “no idea” her boyfriend was going to propose that day.

Frost recently opened up about her decision to quit her acting gig on Home And Away, insisting it was not driven by the backlash to her video nor by the show’s on-set vaccination requirement (Frost was fully vaccinated by the end of 2021).

But she did say that Covid had left the atmosphere on the soap “divided.”

“I loved my time on Home And Away,” she said. “But there was a divide in the workplace when it came to the vaccine and the mandate.

It was in the same Stellar interview that Frost revealed she was “casually seeing someone,” before going public with Hansen in March.
