Sam Frost breaks silence after split with Sasha Mielczarek

SASHA Mielczarek wrote a post immediately, but it has taken a few days for reality-turned-radio star Sam Frost to acknowledge her Bachelorette breakup.

BACHELORETTE star Sam Frost has broken her silence, posting on Instagram for the first time since announcing her split from Sasha Mielczarek.

“This facial expression pretty much sums up my 2016,” she wrote, alongside an image of herself with an annoyed look on her face.

“Happy New Years [sic] legends. Now let’s all put our hands in the middle and make a virtual pact, not to be so hard on ourselves when we inevitably screw up in 2017 in the first few days.”

Just hours before the split was confirmed, Frost posted a picture of a sunset with the cryptic caption: “Christmas isn’t always sunshine and rainbows for everyone.”

The couple’s management issued a statement on December 27 confirming the split.

“They wholeheartedly respect and cherish the friendship they have for one another, which will continue moving forward,” the statement read.

“They wish to thank everyone for their love and support over the past 18 months.”

Almost immediately, Mielczarek posted a message on Instagram saying he respects Frost “wholeheartedly” and will cherish their new-found friendship.

“This is a very difficult time for the two of us and to be honest I’m absolutely heartbroken!

Sammy, I think you are absolutely amazing, beautiful in every way and I wish you all the best in the future,” he wrote.

Mielczarek hit the beach with a mate at the Gold Coast the day after the split.

The couple fell in love on the first season of The Bachelorette in 2015, however, they have been plagued by rumours of a break-up for months.

In October, Frost deleted her social media accounts and used her radio show to rebut a report in New Idea that claimed the pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram and were spending less time together.

“New Idea get a f***ing life!” she wrote in a deleted Facebook post.

“It’s tiring having to constantly defend your relationship,” the 27-year-old later told co-host Rove McManus.

“I have so much to do — I want to concentrate on my family, my friends and my beautiful boyfriend.”

It’s believed one of the reasons behind the split is the fact that Frost, who is based in Sydney, lives three-hours away from Mielczarek.

It’s understood the couple split a few weeks ago with Frost last sharing a photo with Mielczarek on Instagram five weeks ago.
