Kyle Richards has denied she’s divorcing her husband Mauricio Umansky
Real Housewives star Kyle Richards has revealed the truth behind her marriage after reports emerged she was getting divorced after 27 years with her husband.
Reality star veteran Kyle Richards has denied reports that she’s divorcing her husband, Mauricio Umansky, after 27 years of marriage.
Richards, 54, is famous for being Paris Hilton’s aunty on her maternal side and starring in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Her marriage to Umansky has always been considered rock solid among the drama on the hit reality show and the couple also share three daughters.
However, reports emerged that said the couple had mutually decided to separate but will still peacefully live in the same home.
Well, Richards has hit back at the claims by taking to Instagram and releasing a lengthy joint statement with her husband to assure fans they are still together.
“In regards to the news that came out about us today … Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue,” the statement read.
Interestingly the couple revealed that their marriage was going through a tough time.
“However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously,” the statement read.
“There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative. Thank you for the love and support, Kyle & Mauricio.”
Richards’ divorce denial comes after she called her long lasting marriage “one of her biggest accomplishments.”
In 2021 she told Bravo Insiderthat celebrating over 25 years of marriage with the same man was a triumph in Hollywood.
“It means so much, and it’s something that we’re both incredibly proud of! For me, it’s one of my biggest accomplishments. I mean, I think it’s refreshing, in this town, to be married 25 years is a really big deal. We’re really proud to be good role models to our daughters.”
Umansky also chimed in.
“You know, to be quite honest, it feels easy and doesn’t feel like it’s been that long. So it’s been great and beautiful. And, you know, I definitely intend to spend the rest of my life with her. So hopefully, it’ll be at least another 25 years, and maybe another 50,” he said.
