‘I’m a cougar’: Sam Frost opens up about new man
The Aussie star has opened up about her new relationship, revealing she’s started dating one of her younger brother’s best friends.
Sam Frost has opened up about the new mystery man in her life, jokingly dubbing herself a “cougar” as she revealed she’s dating one of her younger brother’s best friends.
“Yeah look, I’m seeing someone, we’re hanging out,” the reality star turned actress confessed in an interview with Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa this week.
The hosts noted that the usually private Frost, 32, had turned “red as a beetroot,” as she gave a few more details about her as-yet unnamed new beau.
“He’s friends with my brother,” she said, referring to younger brother Alex, 26.

“When I bailed my brother up and I was like, ‘Oi is he single or what?’ and then he was like ‘Ah don’t be weird! You’re so embarrassing!’”
She confirmed her new man was “younger … I’m a little cougar, you know”.
It’s not the first time she’s dated a man with close connections to her younger brother – her last boyfriend was musician Jay Bruno, who competed on the current ‘Blood Vs. Water’ season of Survivor alongside Alex.
The pair were described as “in-laws” but in an awkward twist, Sam and Jay broke up shortly after he was eliminated from the game, meaning that by the time viewers watched the show, they saw Sam’s brother competing alongside her now-ex-boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Sam opened up about her tumultuous past six months in a candid new interview with Stellarover the weekend.
The former Bachelorette was met with a fierce public backlash last October when she posted an emotional video to Instagram, explaining why she hadn’t yet been vaccinated against Covid and asking for understanding for those who did not want to receive the vaccine.
At the time she said she “could get into trouble” for revealing her stance on the vaccine, but pleaded for “compassion” and “empathy” for those who had made the same decision as her.
Speaking in detail for the ensuing controversy for the first time to Stellar, Frost said she “wasn’t in a good place” when she filmed the video, and wanted to reach out to others who shared her vaccine hesitancy.
She revealed she had earlier suffered a “huge panic attack” during a consultation with her doctor about which Covid vaccine was best for her.
“The bullying of unvaccinated people was disgusting,” she said. “Friends I’d had for years stopped talking to me. I never said I didn’t want to get it. I’m not an anti-vaxxer – are you kidding me?
“But I feel it’s quite unreasonable to assume that everyone’s going to think exactly the same way and that people are going to come to the exact same conclusion in the same time frame.”
And Frost also claimed she received some “high-profile” support for her views amid the backlash.
“Thousands of people reached out to me – including quite a lot of high-profile people who went, ‘You’re so brave’ – and they felt the exact same way. So even though I copped it, it served its purpose of reminding people they weren’t alone and others were having the same struggles,” she said.
