Bijou Phillips has filed for divorce from her husband, Danny Masterson, after he was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison, Page Six can confirm.

According to California court documents, the actress filed for the dissolution of her marriage from the That ’70s Show star on Monday.

She listed to date of separation as “TBD,” which means to be determined.

Phillips cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

The couple were married for nearly 12 years, as they tied the knot in October 2011. They share a 9-year-old daughter, Fianna Francis.

Page Six did not immediately hear back from reps for comment, but a spokesperson for Phillips told TMZ today, “Ms. Phillips has decided to file for divorce from her husband during this unfortunate time. Her priority remains with her daughter.”

The shocking filing comes after sources claimed that Phillips, 43, had no intention of divorcing Masterson, 47.

“She has had a very difficult time since the conviction,” an insider told People last week.

“She loves Danny and has no plans to file for divorce. She will be by his side for it all.”

Philips remained very loyal throughout Masterson’s rape trial. She was often photographed walking by his side in and out of the courthouse.

Even though Masterson was found guilty of his crimes in May during a retrial after the first trial resulted in a hung jury in November 2022, she still believed that he was innocent.

“Danny is adamant he did nothing wrong and Bijou believes him,” a source told the Daily Mail on September 8.

“She is hanging on to the fact that she completely trusts he never did what he was charged for, she can’t accept that to be true and she is looking to the appeal process for justice to be served.”

Philips also wrote a letter to the judge ahead of Masterson’s sentencing to advocate for why actor should get a more lenient prison sentence.

“We need him more than you can imagine,” the former model wrote of her and her daughter.

“I know he has been convicted of serious crimes. But the man I married has only been an extraordinary husband to me and a devoted father to our daughter.”

Masterson was convicted of raping two of three women who came forward to accuse him of sexual abuse.

In testimony from his retrial, one of the alleged victims claimed he drugged them before sexually assaulting them. An ex-girlfriend claimed she had to pull his hair to stop him from raping her.

Phillips was seen looking very downcast outside of the courthouse moments after her now-estranged husband’s sentencing.

She was reportedly very worried about what might happen to him inside of prison and that he may be killed.

However, the source claimed that Phillips did not believe Masterson would harm himself — despite him being placed under 24-hour surveillance watch while behind bars to monitor him for mental distress.

Masterson has maintained that he is not guilty. His lawyers have vowed to file an appeal.
