Country Star Kelsea Ballerini is going viral for her super personal new album

A famous couple have kept quiet about the reason for their divorce but now one of them is breaking their silence in a big way.

A US country star is going viral on TikTok for opening up about her messy divorce from an Aussie musician via a surprise mini album.

Kelsea Ballerini has channelled her inner Taylor Swift and dropped an entire revealing album about the demise of their relationship with Morgan Evans.

And she doesn’t hold back.

The lyrics are hyper personalised like, “And now you’re saying that you’re lost and that’s lost on me. Years of sitting across from me in therapy.

“I know the truth is hard to hear, but it wasn’t hard to find, Baby, were you blindsided, or were you just blind?”

Fans on TikTok are finding her honesty relatable and sharing their own relationship stories set to her new music.

Ballerina and Evans announced they were divorcing in August 2022 after being married for five years.

At the time of the announcement, neither gave a reason, and Ballerini posted on her Instagram story a very vague celebrity statement and wrote that it was a difficult decision, but their journey of love and growth had ended.

In response, Evans dropped the song ‘Over for You’ and positioned himself as the blindsided husband.

He sang the revealing lyrics, “How long have you been waiting to take our pictures down? How long have you been breaking? Why am I just finding out?”

Ballerini didn’t respond right away but now she’s dropped her album she is being very open about their divorce.

To top if off, Ballerini went on the popular podcast Call Your Daddy hosted by Alex Cooper and aired out even more of their dirty laundry.

Ballerini shared how she felt about the divorce and said: “As he’s putting out a song about being blindsided, he’s taking half the house that he didn’t pay for. How was I married to ​this person?”

Ballerini also revealed on the podcast that they partly split because while Evans was ready for children she wasn’t.

She said. “That’s a fundamental difference. And I still don’t know if I want kids at all or not. But that was something that we had talked about early on, and that was something that I was changing on, you know?

“Cause he was ready. He was like, ‘I don’t want to be an old dad’ … and I was like, ‘I’m not there yet, and I can’t do that to save this and give you something that I’m not ready for. I just can’t do that to myself,” she explained.

Evans hit back via Instagram and wrote, “It is really sad for me to see this person, who I spent so much of my life with, and loved with all my heart, saying things that aren’t reality and that leave out what really happened.”
