KATIE Holmes and Jamie Foxx somehow managed to keep their romance under wraps for years, with speculation they have been an item since 2013.

KATIE Holmes and Jamie Foxx have finally confirmed their relationship, emerging holding hands on a beach in Malibu on Monday.

The pair are thought to have been dating since 2013 but have kept their romance under wraps amid claims of a clause in her divorce settlement from Tom Cruise banning her from publicly dating, reports The Sun.

The stars are reported to have been together since 2013 — a year after her split from the Top Gun star. But they have always claimed to be “just friends.”

In fact two years ago, Jamie, 49, was forced to deny dating Katie, 38, when a picture emerged of the two of them holding hands in a recording studio.

He told US website TMZ: “Oh come on you guys have been trying to make that stick for three years, we’re just friends.

“As a matter of fact Anthony Zuiker, creator of CSI, he offered us an animation project and we’re working on that.”

But the rumours persisted, with the pair being filmed dancing together in The Hamptons and US mag Us Weekly suggesting the pair were “secretly spending time together.”

Back in May, the mag reported the pair were considering going public with a source saying: “She gushes about how amazing he is.

“She says she loves him from the tips of her toes to the top of her head.”

Even one of Jamie’s close friends — ex Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan — let the cat out of the bag last year, only to quickly retract her comments.

After saying: “He is very happy with her, so I like that he seems very happy,” she swiftly claimed she had “no knowledge of Jamie and Katie at all.”

Katie meanwhile, has been equally cagey when speaking about her dating status.

When asked by a reporter last year if she was “still single or is there a secret marriage we should know about,” she replied coyly: “Nooo I’m not married. But thank you for asking.”

The couple are both parents with Tom and Katie sharing daughter Suri, 11, while Jamie is dad to daughters Corinne, 23, and Annalise, seven.
