Dave Chappelle rushes to Wyoming to check on Kanye West

After Kanye’s shock Twitter outburst yesterday, one of the world’s most famous comedians flew to Wyoming to check on the troubled star.

A Hollywood A-lister rushed to Kanye West’s Wyoming ranch to check on the rapper after his shock Twitter outburst.

Comedian Dave Chappelle flew to Wyoming where Kanye is reportedly holed up and surrounded by security in a “bunker”.

Kanye posted a video of Chappelle’s visit on Twitter which showed the rapper saying: “The world needs a smile. You know, we need some joy.”

“Brotherhood is real,” Chappelle said to Kanye. “Love is real.”

Kanye then asked Chappelle to tell a joke, saying, “Why don’t you give us one thing to lift our spirits, Dave, please.”

The comedian replied: “An uplifting joke? You know I don’t write them!”

Kanye thanked the comedian on Twitter, writing: “Thank you Dave for hopping on a jet to come see me doing well. Dave you are a godsend and a true friend all love.”

Chappelle was joined by Kanye’s former manager, John Monopoly, and music producer 88 Keys for the Wyoming visit.

WHERE IS KANYE?

According to The Sun, Kanye is hiding out at his ranch which has a “panic room”.

“Kanye has a compound at the ranch in Wyoming,” a source told The Sun. “He’s had a lot of building work going on there and a lot of it is geared towards security.

“There’s an underground bunker, a panic room originally built for the family to go to in an emergency, stocked up with food.

“Kanye’s surrounded himself with a small group of people he trusts, and he doesn’t trust Kim or her family.

“He’s very paranoid and is convinced that he needs ‘protection’ from Kim and Kris – even though they’re only trying to help him,” the source said.

KANYE’S TWITTER MELTDOWN

In a series of shocking tweets, Kanye yesterday lashed out at his wife Kim Kardashian and his mother-in-law Kris Jenner and accused them of trying to “lock me up”.

In the since-deleted tweets, Kanye wrote: “Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughter’s life yesterday.”

Criticising Jenner, Kanye tweeted that he “would never” photograph his daughter North “doing Playboy” and that “North’s mother (Kim) would never sell her sex rape.” (Seemingly a reference to Kim’s sex tape.)

KANYE’S MENTAL HEALTH

Sources close to Kim and Kanye have claimed the rapper is in the middle of a bipolar episode.

Kanye has previously confirmed in interviews that he has bipolar disorder.

In 2018, the cover of his Ye album featured the line: “I hate being bipolar. It’s awesome.”

He later said in an interview: “I had never been diagnosed until I was 39. But like I said on the album, it’s not a disability, it’s a superpower.”

Speaking to Vogue in 2019, Kim Kardashian spoke about her husband’s struggles and said he wasn’t on medication.

“For him, being on medication is not really an option, because it just changes who he is,” she said at the time.

“Right now everything is really calm. But we can definitely feel episodes coming, and we know how to handle them.”

Kim said in the same interview: “I think some of the hurtful things that I read online: ‘What is she doing? She’s not stopping him …’ Like it’s my fault if he does or says something that they don’t agree with?

“That’s my husband,” she said. “I share every opinion that I have and let him know when I think something’s wrong. Or if it comes to him being in the middle of a bipolar episode, I’ll do everything to be supportive and help to calm the situation.”

In an interview with David Letterman, Kanye once explained what it was like to go through an “episode”.

“When you’re in this state, you’re hyper-paranoid about everything,” he said.

“Everyone – this is my experience, other people have different experiences – everyone now is an actor. Everything’s a conspiracy. You feel the government is putting chips in your head. You feel you’re being recorded. You feel all these things,” he said. “You pretty much don’t trust anyone.”

KIM’S REACTION TO KANYE’S LATEST EPISODE

A source close to Kim has claimed her marriage to Kanye may not survive his recent outburst.

The source told the New York Post that the family has “compassion” for Kanye.

“Anger is not a motivation,” the source said. “The family is trying to work out what to do … and hoping that this nightmare will be over soon and they can get Kanye into treatment.”
