Twist in Selena Gomez’s ‘feud’ with kidney donor

Selena Gomez has responded to rumours of a feud between her and one of her famous pals with a public post

Selena Gomez has posted a loving tribute to her friend and kidney donor Francia Raisa amid rumours they’d had a falling out.

Gomez, 31, posted snaps of the pair on Instagram, accompanied by a loving birthday message to Raisa, an actor who starred in Bring It On: All or Nothing and How I Met Your Father.

“Happiest of birthdays to this special human being. No matter where life takes us, I love you,” she wrote.

Raisa has yet to respond to the message publicly.

The post comes after there have been loud rumours that the two had a falling out. Raisa, famously donated a kidney to Gomez in 2017.

At the time, Gomez called Raisa her “sis” and thanked her on Instagram to her hundreds of millions of avid followers on the app.

“She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis,” she wrote.

That same year when Gomez won Billboard’s Woman of the Year Award, she dedicated the award to her friend.

“To be honest, I think Francia should be getting this award because she saved my life” she said.

In recent years there have been theories that the two are no longer friends.

Gomez and Raisa haven’t posted any photos together, and when Gomez’s documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me - came out earlier this year, she was doing press for it and called Taylor Swift her “only friend in the industry,” in an interview with The Rolling Stone.

Raisa then raised eyebrows by allegedly commenting “interesting” under a post about that interview and quote.

The comment was later deleted.

Meanwhile when Gomez was called out for not thanking Raisa she responded to the judgement on Instagram and wrote.

“Sorry, I didn’t mention every person I know.”
