Sydney Sweeney appears to hit back at critic: ‘Sorry for having great t**s’

The Anyone But You and Euphoria star had a very blunt reaction to recent criticism of her performance and looks.

Sydney Sweeney appeared to hit back at recent criticism with a very blunt message on social media.

The Anyone But You star, 26 – was recently described as “not pretty” and a bad actress by a veteran film producer – took to Instagram with a picture of herself wearing a grey jumper with the words “Sorry for having great t**s” written across the front.

In the post carousel, Sweeney also shared pictures of herself letting loose with a group of friends on what appeared to be an island getaway.

The Euphoria star’s tongue-in-cheek response comes after Hollywood producer and university professor Carol Baum – who worked on Father of the Bride, Dead Ringers and Buffy The Vampire Slayer – confessed after a recent film screening that she’d found Sweeney’s latest romantic comedy “unwatchable.”

“I wanted to know who she is and why everybody’s talking about her,” Baum reportedly told the audience.

She went on to explain that she’d posed the question to her students at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.

“‘Explain this girl to me. She’s not pretty, she can’t act. Why is she so hot?’ … Nobody had an answer.”

A representative for Sweeney later responded, describing the unprovoked attack as “sad”.

“How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman,” they told Variety.

“If that’s what she’s learned in her decades in the industry and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that’s shameful. To unjustly disparage a fellow female producer speaks volumes about Ms. Baum’s character.”
