Pop singer Nessa Barrett has been seen hanging out on Sydney’s Harbour

A young star that has millions of fans and followers has been spotted hanging out in Sydney.

Pop singer Nessa Barrett has been seen hanging out on Sydney’s Harbour and she’s in full tourist mode.

Barrett, 21, and a handful of mates were living their best lives on the high seas. She was on a boat, playing in the water and rocking a black bikini.

With over 6 million Instagram followers and 450 million likes on TikTok, the singer is on track to become the next big thing.

While TikTok is the social media app of the moment, a creator rarely manages to carve out a career outside the app, but Barrett is on her way.

She’s currently on her first-ever tour in Australia and has played in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, and she’s even popping over to New Zealand to sing there.

She’s fresh off the success of her EP Hell Is A Teenage Girl and has been documenting her time in Australia.

She’s been wearing neon yellow, telling her fans she gets the “hype” about Australia, and even filmed herself with a miniature Aussie flag to show her support of our sunburnt country.

Not to mention that she’s filmed a TikTok of her trying Vegemite, and the official Vegemite account replied.

She’s having the most Australia time ever, and it’s fun; if she wanted to amp it up, she’d just need to upload a cover of Shannon Noll’s song Drive, an unforgotten banger from 2004 and then she’d officially be an honorary Aussie.

She’s not shy about sharing her time Down Under and even uploaded a TikTok declaring “Sydney, I’m on a boat!”

Fans were naturally loving the content.

“Australia looks good on your angel face,” one praised.

“Australia Nessa is something else, and I’m here for it,” another claimed.

“Last night at the Sydney show, I yelled out ‘We love you, Nessa’ and you said ‘I love you too’ back. I genuinely started crying,” one wrote.

One of the reasons Nessa has become such a Gen Z ‘it’ girl is that she’s very candid about discussing her struggles with body image or talking openly about her mental health.

She told Seventeen that she wants to be “honest” in an effort to help other young people know it is normal.

“I’m trying to break the whole standard of how life is perfect, when it’s not. I wish that I had a person that was releasing music or openly advocating for mental health, to realise that there’s a lot of people that go through it.

“If I saw an artist that was successful and they still dealt with mental health, then I would have known it was okay for me as well,” she explained.
