Julia Fox goes grocery shopping in underwear in Los Angeles

Julia Fox, who famously dated Kanye West for six weeks, says it should be acceptable to go grocery shopping in your underwear.

Julia Fox has gone grocery shopping in Los Angeles – in her underwear.

The actor and model, who famously had a short-lived romance with Kanye West earlier this year, stepped out in Hollywood wearing a black cotton bra and underwear from an upcoming Alexander Wang collection.

She also wore knee-high denim boots, a blazer and slouch bag.

The bag and boots have been seen before. Fox wore them alongside jeans missing a waistband and a top made out of said waistband in a DIY outfit in March.

Seemingly pleased there were paparazzi around to snap her unique look at the supermarket this week, Fox shared photos on her Instagram stories.

One was a meme, captioned: “When it’s laundry day but you have errands to run”.

Fox added her own comment: “I think that if it’s totally acceptable at the beach, it should be the same everywhere lol”.

While it is not the first outfit the 32-year-old has worn to turn heads, the internet is buzzing.

American writer David Gardner tweeted: “Oh sure, when Julia Fox goes grocery shopping in her underwear, she’s a fashion icon. But when I do it, I’m ‘no longer welcome in Whole Foods’.”

Some social media users applauded Fox for doing what she wanted, while others argued about whether it was appropriate and if she would have received the same praise if she wasn’t a celebrity.

Fox went viral online earlier this year after she said she considered herself West’s muse in an interview and that she was director Josh Safdie’s muse when he wrote Uncut Gems – a 2019 crime thriller she starred in.

The way that Fox said the film’s title, “Uncuht Jahmz”, turned the clip into a viral sound on TikTok.

Even other celebrities, including model Cara Delevingne and actress Shay Mitchell, posted their own versions mocking Fox.

There are nearly 60,000 videos that have used the official sound on TikTok.

After the video blew up, Fox said she was stoned at the time of the interview.

Fox and West had a whirlwind romance for about six weeks after meeting on New Year’s Eve.

They made their first red carpet debut wearing denim in January.

Their split in February came amid West’s public outbursts on social media targeting ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her new boyfriend Pete Davidson.
