Former MasterChef Australia judge Melissa Leong has shared a stunning bikini photo as she embarks on a health and fitness overhaul.
The TV personality posted an image of herself to Instagram Stories wearing a strapless bikini as she visited the wellness studio Nimbus Co. in Melbourne.
In the mirror selfie, the 42-year-old posed beside a cold-plunge bath at the plush studio which specialises in temperature contrast therapy.
In a separate post, Leong explained to her followers that she plans to get back on track with her diet and exercise after spending the last few weeks indulging in sweets.
“3 straight weeks of eating cake, ice cream and chocolate was fun. Time to get back into training!” she captioned another of herself with a towel on her shoulder about to enter the ice bath.
Coincidentally, Leong is set to appear on the upcoming SBS docu-series The Hospital: In The Deep End, which airs on June 6.
Along with Gardening Australia host Costa Georgiadis and actor Samuel Johnson, Leong will be thrown out of her comfort zone as she spends one week on the frontlines at one of the country’s busiest hospitals, St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney.
Leong will be put to work by hospital staff in St Vincent’s Emergency Department – her own mother spent decades working as a Nurse Unit Manager in a hospital emergency room too.
The celebrated food critic will also spend time in the Neurosurgery Department, where she will learn what is required to perform a successful operation.
“If you’re a curious person like me, an invitation to go behind-the-scenes in one of Australia’s most well-known – and busiest – hospitals, is a once in a lifetime gift,” Leong said in a press release.
“My week at St Vincent’s is now a life memory filled with extraordinary people; doctors, nurses, and patients, alike. I hope The Hospital: In The Deep End gives viewers a new perspective on the services we – and the ones we love – will all have a personal experience with at some point in our lives.”
Leong announced her departure from MasterChef Australia last October to “expand” and “evolve” her career.
Later this year, she is also set to front Season 2 of Ten’s food program, Dessert Masters Australia, which she will co-host with pastry chef Amaury Guichon.
