Former Home And Away star Luke Jacobz marries American fiancée in stunning Sydney ceremony

Aussie actor Luke Jacobz has exchanged vows under a canopy of trees in Sydney’s Centennial Park, marrying his American love, Raychel Stuart.

Former Home And Away star Luke Jacobz has married his American partner, Raychel Stuart, in an intimate sunset ceremony in Sydney.

The couple exchanged vows under a canopy of trees in Centennial Park on July 3 in front of 32 of their nearest and dearest family and friends.

“I was a mess. When I saw Raychel I just lost it because we’ve been waiting so long for it to happen,” he told New Idea magazine.”

“I ended up using all the tissues, and not Raychel which was part of the plan.”

The wedding – which Stuart described as “dreamlike” – was a long time coming for the newlyweds. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were forced to postpone their nuptials not once but twice.

The couple became engaged in late 2018 after a few years of dating, and they embarked on a long-distance relationship in 2020 when Jacobz returned from the US to Australia to reprise his role in Home And Away.

They were initially planning to marry in November 2020, but the pandemic hit and the pair spent more than a year apart.

They were eventually reunited, but not before Stuart completed the mandatory 14 days in hotel quarantine upon arriving on our shores.

“She’s finally here!!! After 499 days apart!” Jacobz shared on Instagram at the time. “I am reunited with the love of my life!!”

Not wanting to waste anymore time, Stuart arrived for their wedding 40 minutes earlier than scheduled as she was walked down the aisle of a small pine forest by her new mother-in-law’s partner, John.

Both Stuart and Jacobz have lost their fathers and her brothers were unable to travel to Australia.

“John was just absolutely blown away to be asked to do it,” Jacobz told New Idea. “It was a really special moment.”

Another special touch was Raychel designing the floral arrangements herself, which consisted of an array of native flowers.
