Movie star Aaron Taylor-Johnson has posted some holiday snaps with his director wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson.

The actor, 34, posted photos of himself enjoying some relaxation time, including one of him shirtless in board shorts, cuddling up to his bikini-clad wife, 57.

The star was showing off his ribbed physique, and Sam looked happy as she snuggled up to her husband.

It isn’t exactly a revolutionary photo, most celebrities love to post about their tropical holidays on social media, but Aaron has limited comments on the post.

This is likely in response to the amount of trolling the couple faces because of their age difference, with the movie star being 24 years younger than his director wife.

Aaron and Sam, who got married in 2012 and share two children, are constantly trolled because of their age gap in their relationship.

Fans on X are reposting the photos Aaron shared on Instagram and complaining that the couple haven’t broken up.

“When is this going to end?”, one asked, and that is one of the nicer and more respectful posts about the relationship.

This year, Sam opened up about the scrutiny surrounding their relationship and admitted she was surprised people cared so much.

“I mean, it’s coming up now because you’re asking,” she told The Guardian.

“And it comes up on the outside perspective of people who don’t know us, because I guess people will always.

“We’re a bit of an anomaly, but it’s that thing. After 14 years you just think, surely by now it doesn’t really matter?”

Part of the reason the couple has been controversial is because of how their romance started.

The pair met in 2008 when he auditioned and won the part of playing a young John Lennon in a film Nowhere Boy that Sam was directing.

When they first met, Aaron was only 19, and Sam, who was in her early 40s, had recently divorced and was already a mum.

Aaron has gone on to be a huge star and has starred in blockbusters like Kickass, Marvel’s Avengers, and Bullet Train. As he became famous, there have been even more conversations about his marriage.

Last year the couple went viral over a similar set of photos. Once again, Aaron was shirtless, and they were cuddled up.

Popular pop culture X account PopBase reposted photos, which quickly went viral with more than 17 million views. The reaction online was overwhelmingly negative.

General comments expressed alarm that Sam looked older than her husband and just general disapproval.

“I pray every day they break-up,” someone commented

“I don’t get this relationship and never will,” another shared.

“This is devastating,” someone else complained.

Not everyone was hating on the couple.

“They’ve been together for over fifteen years … longer than most celebrity couples that are the same age,” someone pointed out.
