Delta Goodrem pays tribute to Neighbours with Halloween costume
The former soap star paid tribute to a very special period in her life on Instagram as she marked Halloween.
Delta Goodrem has done many things in the years since she left Neighbours, but it turns out ageing isn’t one of them.
The former soapstar-turned-popstar decided to use Halloween this year to pay tribute to her time on the legendary Aussie soap.
Goodrem appeared on fictional Ramsey Street between 2002 and 2005 as schoolgirl Nina Tucker, although she made occasional cameos after her exit to launch a hugely successful music career.
In her latest Instagram post, Goodrem decided to ransack her closet and dig out her old school uniform from back when she was on the show.
In a series of snaps, Goodrem held up a Ramsey Street sign and appeared over the moon about slipping back into her costume.
She captioned the post: “Happy Halloween from your girl Nina! #igottago”.
Fans rushed to comment on the snaps, with one replying: “Okay but I absolutely LOVE THIS! This is the ultimate Nina Tucker redemption!!”
Other fans thought Goodrem was announcing her return to the show at first glance, writing: “I just got excited then thinking this was a cast announcement & you was coming back!”
While another added: “Not me thinking this was about you guest starring on the show.”
Meanwhile, Goodrem hasn’t given up acting entirely.
She recently returned to her acting roots in Netflix rom-com Love Is In The Air which proved a major success. During its release week, the popular film attracted a whopping 11.7 million viewers internationally.
While it may have been butchered by critics, audiences seemed taken by Goodrem’s return to the big screen.
It’s been a busy few months for the star, who recently became engaged to her partner.
Goodrem has been in a relationship with her boyfriend Matthew Copley since late 2017.
She announced news of their engagement in a sweet Instagram post in September.
“My best friend asked me to marry him,” Goodrem wrote, sharing photos of the pair in Malta, where Copley popped the question.
