Camila Cabello spills on her very famous break-up
A hugely famous pop star has revealed the truth about hooking up with her famous ex.
Pop singer Camila Cabello has spilled on that viral footage of her kissing her famous ex, Shawn Mendes.
Cabello has joined a long list of celebrities that have gone on the popular podcast Call Her Daddy and spilled their guts.
The podcast hosted by Alexandra Cooper has become the place where celebrities talk candidly about their lives and Cabello spoke about everything.
She discussed her favourite sex position, which she said depended on the person, and said she preferred “different strokes” for different times.
The pop singer also shared that her favourite time to have sex was the afternoon because it felt so “European” but she also enjoys a morning session.
Surprisingly she also spoke about Mendes and those viral images of them kissing at Coachella in 2023.
Cabello said that she’s a known “fan” of getting back together with an ex and that her impulsivity doesn’t help the situation.
She explained that the idea of never hooking up with an ex again isn’t something she can ever promise herself.
“I’m not someone that you can forbid things from because I’ll want to do it more,” she explained.
Cabello also pointed out that sometimes you need to get with someone again to realise it truly isn’t meant to be.
“You need to know it isn’t going to work, and you need to be like, I did it and I know,” she said.
The singer said she’d always rather act on her feelings than build up a past relationship in her head.
As for the incident with kissing Mendes, she has no regrets about it.
“I would rather say it, and see what happens and then wake up the next day and find out it has been heavily documented,” she said.
Cabello called it a “fun” moment and said she’d always care about and love him. However, once they hooked up again, they both realised it wasn’t a “fit” anymore, but she’d always “root” for him.
“Some people have exes that are awful. He is not,” she said.
Cabello and Mendes are one of those former celebrity couples that everyone was rooting for. They’d been friends for years before they hooked up in 2019, and Mendes has a history of gushing about Cabello.
In the documentary Wonder about Mendes, the singer even said that Cabello inspired every song he’d written.
“My song comes on the radio or something and I’m like, ‘Everything’s about you. They’re all, they have always been about you. She goes, ‘What do you mean?’ Like, ‘They’re all about you. Like every song I’ve ever wrote.’”
Sadly, despite their sweet love story, the two broke things off in 2021 and released a joint statement that said their relationship was over, but their love for each other as humans was “stronger than ever.”
Besides that brief moment in 2023, the pair do seem to be moving on, with Mendes linked to reality television star Charlie Travers.
