Karl Stefanovic’s daughter, 16, attends school formal

Today show host Karl Stefanovic has shared a photo of his 16-year-old daughter’s celebrating a milestone moment as fans label teen “stunning”.

After missing her school formal last year because of the coronavirus pandemic, Karl Stefanovic and Cassandra Thorburn’s 16-year-old daughter has finally been able to mark that milestone off her calendar.

Ava Willow, who goes by her second name, attended the end of school bash after being invited by a friend a year after her own was cancelled.

Cass shared the big moment in a series of snaps on Instagram on Friday before she headed off to the event with her date.

“My girl is shining her light tonight … lucky girl to be invited to a school formal after missing out last year, as they all did,” she wrote.

The following day, Willow’s Today show dad shared his pride at seeing his daughter all dressed up for the celebration.

“Proud daddy chops moment. What a beauty. What a person,” he said.

Willow wore a silk gold gown to the event, her hair styled back with loose curls framing her face. She accessories with a sequin gold back and matching bangle as well as a yello corsage given to her by her date.

Karl’s famous friends, including Channel 9 presenter and sister-in-law Sylvia Jeffreys, were quick to compliment the teenager, describing Willow as “beautiful” and “stunning”.

Followers also streamed his post with lovely comments.

“What a proud dad, she is just a delight,” one wrote.

“You should be proud of your daughter, she is absolutely stunning,” another said.

“She’s all grown up,” one marvelled.

Previously, Willow’s stepmum Jasmine Stefanovic shared a series of photos celebrating the teen’s sweet 16, celebrated at Crown Sydney.

In one photo, Karl’s daughter clutched her Pink birthday cake in their fancy hotel room, that read: “Happy 16th Ava girl.”

Another was a selfie taken by Karl with Willow and Jasmine in the hotel’s mirrored lift.

Ava Willow is the middle child of three Karl shares with ex-wife Jasmine, with Jackson the eldest and River the youngest. He also has one-year-old daughter Harper with wife Jasmine.
