Heath Ledger’s daughter Matilda looks just like dad

AS she nears her 11th birthday, Michelle Williams’ daughter with the late Heath Ledger is looking more and more like dad.

MICHELLE Williams has stepped out with her daughter Matilda — and the 10-year-old is looking like the spitting image of her late father Heath Ledger nowadays.

The pair were snapped alongside Williams’ mother Carla Swenson in Brooklyn this week, and the family resemblance between Matilda and her late dad, who passed away in 2008 aged 28, is uncanny.

Matilda, who will celebrate her 11th birthday later this month, has extended family back in Australia including her grandparents on her dad’s side — who noted the family resemblance in an interview with the Daily Telegraph in May.

“She’s such a reminder of her Dad,” said the late actor’s mum, Sally.

“Matilda is exactly like her dad, she looks just like him,” added his father Kim.

The pair, who describe their granddaughter as “a little New Yorker”, admitted that they don’t see her as often they would like.

“She’s not here that much because of Michelle (Williams)’s lifestyle,” said Sally, who added that the Ledger family make several trips a year to the Big Apple to spend time with her.

Heath Ledger with Jake Gyllenhaal in his Oscar-nominated role in Brokeback Mountain. Gyllenhaal is Matilda’s godfather.
