Occasionally, a celebrity does something quite comical that proves they are nothing like us in the best way possible, with Gwyneth Paltrow providing us with the latest example.

Academy Award winner Paltrow, 51, took to her Instagram to wish her daughter Apple, 20, who she shares with Coldplay front man Chris Martin, a happy birthday.

During the gushing post she let slip a bizarre fun fact about her daughter.

Not a whole lot is known about Apple.

She’s been spotted at fashion week before, she’s currently in college, and she looks just like her famous mum, but, beyond that, no one knows much. So any insight from her famous mum is always appreciated.

It was the usual celebrity mum birthday post; she expressed shock that her daughter was now 20.

“How can it be?” she asked.

She called her daughter “hilarious” and brilliant, revealed Apple is also known as “peanut” and added that she was so “proud” of her.

It was sweet but nothing unusual. Until Paltrow did the world a favour and revealed one random thing she loves about her daughter.

“I love your WW11 insights as much as I love your physical comedy,” she wrote.

Wait what?

Paltrow – the woman who made vagina candles a thing, is known for being so Hollywood that she gets vaginal steams and was once quoted as saying she can’t “pretend to be somebody who makes $25,000 a year” – enjoys her privileged daughter’s hot takes on the Second World War?

Incredible.

This is the kind of stuff we need to know about celebrities.

Forget hearing about their bizarre diets, like Paltrow eating bone broth for lunch, we want more random celebrity kid facts, please and thank you.

Paltrow’s random but incredible comment amazed normal people in the comment section.

“Her what insights?” one questioned.

“Is she pro or against WWII,” another asked.

“I would pay some amount of money to hear Apple Martin’s World War II insights,” one wrote.

“Literally the only thing I could think of after reading her caption,” another said.

Naturally, her celebrity friends ignored the war reference and sent their well-wishes to Apple.

“Oh, mama. I love you. I feel you. Happy Birthday, beautiful woman,” fellow Oscar winner Kate Hudson wrote.

“Happy birthday, Apple,” actor Annabelle Wallis wrote.

“Happy Birthday to your beloved Apple,” Selma Blair, yes, from Cruel Intentions, commented.

“She is pure fascination! She always has been the most delightful and smartest person in the room, wrapped in pure beauty,” celebrity trainer Tracey Anderson added.

It was truly a missed moment by the famous community that not one of them inquired about Apple’s opinions on the Second World War.
