Big lie being told about Carrie’s pregnancy
THE TV personality has taken to her radio show to dispel a rumour being spread about her pregnancy — as well as outing its unlikely source.
AS one of the most recognisable faces on TV, Carrie Bickmore is used to hearing rumours about herself.
But The Project host probably didn’t expect an outright lie about her pregnancy to come from her own child.
Speaking on her afternoon Hit Network radio show Carrie & Tommy, Bickmore revealed the hilarious way her three-year-old daughter Evie had been fooling complete strangers into thinking she was having twins.
“So the other day I went to pick her up from school and one of the mums said, ‘hey amazing,’ and I went, ‘yep, OK’,” Bickmore recalled.
“She said, ‘are you not telling people,’ and I was like, ‘er what?’ And she said, ‘that you’re having twins!’ And I was like, ‘pardon?’”
Bickmore then discovered Evie had been telling strangers an “elaborate story” so convincing she struggled to convince the other mum it wasn’t true.
“(The mum said Evie) spoke about, how she went to the doctor with you, and she went on to tell the elaborate story that Evie had told about us having twins,” Bickmore said.
“Often kids lie and you can see through their lies but this mum was fully hooked!”
Bickmore revealed she was expecting her third child in a cute video shared to Instagram featuring Evie.

“Hey some exciting news to share with you,” Bickmore captioned the post. “We are having a BABY. How funny is Evie asking if it’s twins. No honey it’s not twins!!!!!!”
Bickmore had son Oliver in 2007 with her husband Greg Lange, who passed away from brain cancer in 2010.
She and Walker welcomed Evie to the family in 2015.
