Kim and Kanye could face jail time over Taylor Swift video

KIM Kardashian blew up the internet yesterday, leaking footage of a private phone call. Taylor Swift isn’t taking it.

AN INFURIATED Taylor Swift is planning legal action against Kanye West after his wife Kim Kardashian leaked a private phone conversation between the pair.

The bombshell recording proved the rapper had asked the Shake It Off singer permission to release the controversial song Famous.

In the track, Kanye raps: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that b**** famous.”

During the cordial phonecall Taylor, 26, appears to be supportive of the track, describing Kanye as a “friend” and saying the song is “like a compliment” and “obviously very tongue in cheek”.

The release of the tape marks a dramatic escalation in the A-list feud that is captivating the entertainment industry.

Now The Sun has revealed Taylor’s team are now seriously considering a dramatic legal bid that could see Kanye, 39, and his wife Kim, 35, sent to prison for three years if they were charged for the felony.

Her legal team are convinced Kanye and Kim have violated California penal code 632 that makes it illegal to record calls without permission from both sides.

Taylor’s lawyers have warned Kanye that she did not give consent and insisted she was not aware the call was being taped.

A US source revealed: “Taylor’s team believe that Kanye and Kim have quite clearly broken the law.

“They are on a mission to destroy Taylor but there could be serious consequences because they made the phone call from California where it is illegal to tape calls without permission.”

The Sun’s Bizarre column revealed last month that Taylor’s lawyers had demanded Kanye and Kim to destroy the tape.

But they ignored that request and Kim shared it with her millions of fans via a video on her Snapchat account instead.

Taylor responded in an Instagram post, saying: “You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that b****’ in front of the entire world.”

Kanye famously interrupted Taylor’s MTVs VMAs acceptance speech in 2009, claiming the award should have gone to his friend Beyonce instead.

The full statement read: “Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ in his song?

“It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that bitch’ in front of the entire world.

“Of course I wanted to like the song. I wanted to believe Kanye when he told me I would love the song. I wanted us to have a friendly relationship.

“He promised to play the song for me, but he never did.

“While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard.

“Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination.

“I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”
