THERE’S at least one person absolutely loving Barnaby Joyce’s current public misfortune: US model and actress Amber Heard.

Heard and her then-husband Johnny Depp were at the centre of a national scandal last year when they smuggled their dogs, Pistol and Boo, into the country in violation of strict quarantine laws.

The resulting outrage reached its peak when Deputy Prime Minister Joyce threatened to have the dogs destroyed — then sputtered to a bizarre conclusion when Depp and Heard recorded a solemn video message extolling the importance of respecting Australia’s biosecurity laws.

Remember this? CRINGE.

It was a deeply humiliating public show of contrition apparently orchestrated by Joyce himself — and now Heard’s getting her own back.

Faced with the news that Joyce is the latest pollie discovered to be holding dual citizenship — which may force him out of politics altogether — Heard clearly decided there ain’t much fun in maintaining a dignified silence. Instead, she revelled in the news with her 40,000 Twitter followers.

“When Barnaby Joyce said ‘no one is above the law’ I didn’t realise he meant New Zealand law,” she tweeted today.

“To comfort Mr. Joyce in his hour need, I have sent him a box of New Zealand’s finest Kiwi fruit (assuming this passes his biosecurity laws).”

She is absolutely bloody LOVING this, isn’t she?
