An Aussie TV star has been caught in the wildfires spreading through the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood in LA.
Australia’s Next Top Model star Didier Cohen is among the 30,000 residents forced to evacuate their homes as the blaze continues to intensify in the affluent region.
Cohen, 39, shared his ordeal on Instagram Stories, capturing harrowing footage of the fire engulfing the sky as it inched closer to his house.

“Um, not good,” he said in the video as he watched on from his front yard. “There’s fires around our whole house. It’s clearly across the street. Houses already getting engulfed.”
“Just standing by for an evacuation notice. Thanks to everyone who reached out.”
In one of the follow-up clips, the American-born model could seen wearing a gas mask as he exited his garage to survey the situation.
“It’s getting real dicey, I can’t see anything now,” he said in the video. “We’ve been told to evacuate, so I hope the house is all right. I hope everyone’s all right.”
The star said later revealed that he safely evacuated the region, but not before sharing a confronting image showing cars lined up on a nearby highway with the flames raging in the skyline as residents attempt to flee.
“Please pray for our neighbourhood,” he captioned the image. “Collective energy is real.”
Cohen isn’t the only celebrity caught up in the wildfires with the Pacific Palisades home to many A-listers, including Chris Pratt, Reese Witherspoon, Miles Teller and Ben Affleck.
Affleck was also forced to evacuate from the $US20.5 million mansion he purchased just five months ago following his split from Jennifer Lopez.
According to Page Six, Affleck was seen fleeing his residence on Tuesday and driving to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s house in nearby Brentwood.
While it’s not known if Affleck’s home is still standing, reality TV couple Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, who rose to fame on MTV reality show The Hills, unfortunately lost theirs in the fire.
“Nightmare came true,” Pratt captioned one clip of the blaze as he and Montag evacuated the area with their two young children, only to later lose their home.
Meanwhile, veteran Hollywood star Steve Guttenberg, who also lives in Pacific Palisades, was seen helping fire crews as they battled raging wildfires.
Known for his roles in movies like Police Academy, It Takes Two and Three Men and a Baby, Guttenberg, 66, was caught by local news station KTLA 5 on Tuesday as he was out moving cars to make room for fire trucks to drive into the endangered community.
Guttenberg spotted newsman Gene Kang as he reported live on KTLA’s noon broadcast and interjected to share an “important announcement”.
“If anybody has a car and they leave the car, leave the keys in the car so that we can move your car so that these firetrucks can get to Palisades Drive,” he said on camera.
“What’s happening is people take their keys with them as if they’re in a parking lot. This is not a parking lot. We really need people to move their cars. So if you leave your car behind, leave the key in there so a guy like me can move your car so that these fire trucks can get up there.”
