DAVID Beckham is officially the sexiest man in the world.

The 40-year-old former soccer star has been named People magazine’s 2015 Sexiest Man Alive, and he made the big reveal on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Skyping into the talk show from London, Beckham initially kept his face covered while audience members tried to guess who he was.

“I mean it’s the best moment of my career, I can’t believe,” David joked once he was revealed. “I would obviously like to thank my parents for bringing me into this world, of course. I would like to thank my hairdresser, my stylist, photoshop.”

While Beckham, who’s the first athlete to take out the title, told the magazine his wife Victoria Beckham is on-board with it, he says he’s copped some flak from his kids.

“We kind of laughed about it with the boys and the boys kind of laughed at me and said, ‘Really?! Sexiest man alive? Really?’” he said.

He joins a long list of good-looking fellas who have received the annual award, including Chris Hemsworth who nabbed the title last year.
