Kanye West craps on for 10 minutes at MTV VMA before declaring his presidential run

Kanye West for President?

KANYE West has declared his run for president in 2020 during a longwinded and confusing speech while accepting the Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Wearing the same oversized tee most suburban dads sleep in, the 38-year-old rapper crapped on for roughly 10 minutes — lulling the audience into confusion.

Taylor Swift — whose speech Kanye famously interrupted in 2009 — presented the performer with the award.

College Dropout was the first album my brother and I bought on iTunes when I was 12 years old,” she declared.

Taking to the stage, Yeezy covered all bases.

“Y’all might be thinking right now, ‘I wonder did he smoke something before he came out here?’ And the answer is yes, I rolled up a little something, I knocked the edge off,” he admitted. And it explains a lot.

Throughout the speech, West reminisced about his onstage run-in with Swift six years ago and how he and daughter North go to the grocery store for orange juice.

“The contradiction is that I do fight for artists but in that fight, somehow, was disrespectful to artists,” he said of interrupting Swift.

“I didn’t know how to say the right thing, the perfect thing, I sat at the Grammys and saw Justin Timberlake and CeeLo Green lose. Gnarls Barkley and the [FutureSex/LoveSound] album, and bro, Justin, I’m not trying to put you on blast but I saw that man in tears, bro.

“And I was thinking he deserved to win album of the year. And the small box that we are of entertainers of the evening, how could you explain that?”

He gave a nod to the time 60,000 people booed him at a baseball game.

He also shared a life lesson about a leather shirt and a bottle of Hennessy — because one is usually responsible for the other.

By this point, after numerous pauses and disjointed anecdotes, Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian’s faces pretty much summed up how Yeezy was being received.

In what came as no surprise, the performer also admitted to not understanding stuff.

“I still don’t understand award shows,” he confided.

“I don’t understand how they get five people who work their entire life to sell records, sell concert tickets to come stand on a carpet and for the first time in their life be judged on a chopping block and have the opportunity to be considered a loser.

“I don’t understand it bro. I do not understand when the biggest album or the biggest video ... I don’t understand. I’ve been conflicted bro. I just wanted people to like me more.”

Along with not understanding stuff, he bravely admitted he can’t predict the future.

“I don’t know what’s gonna happen tonight, and I don’t know what’s gonna happen tomorrow.”

Kanye ended with a bang.

While a worldwide audience was trying to figure out what was happening before them, West finished with a bang.

“I don’t know what I’m gonna lose after this — it don’t matter though because it ain’t about me, it’s about new ideas bro, people with ideas, people who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could’ve guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”

It knocked the wind out of most people — including Kim.

The announcement took off on social media with Kanye’s White House ambitions turned into memes. And one company has been quick to get on board the Yeezy promotional gear — offering Kanye West 2020 presidential campaign shirts.

Afterwards, award show host Miley Cyrus paraphrased most people’s reaction.

“Now we all know what happens to Kanye West when he smokes weed.”
