Margot Robbie makes a rare appearance at the Golden Globes in a Chanel slit dress

The Australian actress marked her first red carpet appearance in a year wearing a sexy Chanel slit dress.

Margot Robbie has made her grand entrance at the Beverly Hilton hotel for the 2021 Golden Globes.

Robbie, 30 is set to present during the ceremony, stepping out in a ruffled Chanel gown from their spring 2021 collection which sports a sexy high split.

The glamorous star has returned to her signature blonde locks for the event, spotted earlier this month wearing a dark, curly wig while she was on set for the upcoming David O. Russel film.

The blonde beauty wasn’t nominated for any Golden Globes this year, but she was a producer on Promising Young Woman, which has been nominated for Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Director for Motion Picture, Best Screenplay for Motion Picture and earned Carey Mulligan a nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama.

Robbie will soon begin in her next role of the upcoming Barbie movie, where she will both star and produce, recently chatting to the The Hollywood Reporter about it.

“We like the things that feel a little left of centre,” she shared. “Something like Barbie where the [intellectual property], the name itself, people immediately have an idea of, ‘Oh, Margot is playing Barbie, I know what that is,’ but our goal is to be like, ‘Whatever you’re thinking, we’re going to give you something totally different — the thing you didn’t know you wanted.’”

She said she wants to “surprise people” by taking on the plastic doll character and “provoke a thoughtful conversation.”

The 2021 Golden Globes marks the first time fans have seen the Birds of Prey actress step out onto a red carpet since the 2020 Oscars.

During that event, she also wore a Chanel gown.

Robbie usually walks the red carpet with her husband Tom Ackerley by her side, however she walked the carpet alone for this event.

The Australian actress has attended a few virtual events in recent months,

Last week, the Suicide Squad actress turned up at the virtual G’Day USA American Australian Arts Gala.

The star also attended the Chanel spring summer 2021 virtual womenswear show in October, being the face of the French fashion house.

Other presenters of the 2021 Golden Globes include Laura Dern, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sterling K. Brown, Joaquin Phoenix, Tiffany Haddish and Kate Hudson.

The ceremony is hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
