Viewers angry as Emmys ‘In Memoriam’ segment snubs big names
SEVERAL big names — including a young TV star whose brutal murder made global headlines — were left out of the Emmys ‘In Memoriam’ segment.
The Emmys honoured the lives of those we lost in the entertainment industry this year, however, several stars were left out of the “In Memoriam” segment leaving many fans upset.
The Voice alum Christina Grimmie, 22, who was shot and killed by a crazed fan in June, was noticeably left out.
This was not the first time Grimmie was ignored during an “In Memoriam” segment — she was also left out at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards.
Christina Grimmie deserved to be apart of the #inmemoriam but it's not the first time she's been snubbed. #emmys

I'm still shocked that they didn't mention Christina Grimmie in the "In Memoriam" segment at the #Emmys last night.

You didn't even mention Christina Grimmie? Where's the justice? #Emmys

Professional wrestler Chyna also went unacknowledged as did Earth, Wind & Fire’s Maurice White, transgender actress Alexis Arquette and Mob Wives star Angela Raiola.
Ice Road Truckers star Darrell Ward, who died in a plane crash in August, was also not mentioned.
