Felicity Huffman gets hit with subtle ‘prison’ jab at Emmys 2019
Felicity Huffman has become a punchline at this year’s Emmy Awards after being sentenced to two weeks in jail.
Future inmate Felicity Huffman became a punchline at this year’s Emmy Awards over her involvement in the nationwide college admissions scam.
Comedian Thomas Lennon went after the former Desperate Housewives star in his voice-over commentary of the ceremony, referencing her two-week jail sentence in the scandal.

“The producers have asked me to give a special shout out to our previous lead actress winners who are watching from prison,” Lennon said.
“Hopefully those two weeks are going to fly right by,” he added. “Keep your chin up.”

Huffman does not report to prison until October 25.
Huffman won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Desperate Housewives in 2005. She’s been nominated several other times, including in 2007 for her work on the former series.
She starred in a series up for multiple awards at this year’s ceremony, Netflix’s When They See Us, — but didn’t get a nod for her role as Central Park Five prosecutor Linda Fairstein.
The actress was among dozens of high-profile parents ensnared in the bribery scandal that exploded earlier this year.
She pleaded guilty to bribing admitted college fixer William “Rick” Singer $15,000 to boost her daughter Sophia’s SAT scores.
