WHEN IS EOFY?

In Australia, EOFY will fall on Sunday, June 30 this year and the new financial year will begin from Monday, July 1. The EOFY sales occur in the lead-up to June 30, so you can expect early discounts to go live in the weeks prior to then.

WHAT DOES EOFY STAND FOR?

For those that don’t know, EOFY stands for “end of financial year” and it is quite an important date for anyone who owns a business.

In Australia, EOFY marks the date for when you can start filing your tax return and if you run a business it’s when you would complete tasks like an inventory stocktake, summaries of debts and assets as well as other financial reports.

HOW LONG DO THE EOFY SALES LAST?

The length of each EOFY sale will be different for each retailer. Some retailers will run their sale all throughout June, while others may wait until the final week of June to drop their sale. Most sales typically end on June 30.
