Travel Tuesday: My Queensland, Virgin Australia, Antler, Luxury Escapes

One Aussie tour company is shelling out $1000s in extras on your next Queensland holiday.

After being battered by cyclones and floods, Queensland is calling for visitors to boost tourism - and if you need any more convincing to hop over to the Sunshine State, My Queensland has the answer.

The travel site, which is dedicated to Queensland holidays, has popped on thousands of dollars in extras onto some of its most popular itineraries.

Getting you the most bang for your buck is this serene five-night stay at The Reef House Adult Retreat in Palm Cove for $2099 per person. Valued at $3199, it includes flights, airport transfers, daily breakfast, three-course dinner, massage, late check-out and either a Outer Reef Cruise, Daintree tour or Kuranda Rail & Skyrail ride.

Families after some fun in the sun can't go past this Whitsundays Apartments trip. Priced at $1549 per person this five-night break is loaded with extras, including return flights, transfers and a half-day Whitehaven Beach Experience. Kids under 12 also stay and eat free.

Finally, if you're overdue for a trip to the Goldie, five-nights at Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel & Residences is now $1299 per person. For that price you'll score a deluxe room as well as flights, daily breakfast, transfers, SkyPoint Observation Deck entry, a Sea World lunch cruise and free parking.

As for flights? Virgin Australia is currently taking you to Western Australia for up to 25 per cent less. Seats start from $179 each way and travel is available until September 2025.

Flight Centre has also come out with a banger with fares across the ditch to New Zealand as low as $423 return. Flights are with Air New Zealand and there are even some cheeky winter dates to Queensland in the mix for skiers looking for catch some powder.

In terms of luggage, Antler's mega mid-season sale has up to 50 per cent off suitcases, overnight bags and backpacks, Myer has obliterated the cost of luggage with up to 40 per cent off Samsonite, American Tourister, Antler and Delsey while The Iconic is slinging up to 40 per cent off the budget-friendly Nere suitcases.
