Travel Deals of the Week: Virgin Australia, Etihad, Hawaiian Airlines

Get set to dust off your passports! Virgin has taken up to 25 per cent off international fares, Hawaiian Airlines is sending you on two holidays for the price of one and Etihad has Europe seats for under $1400 return.

The summer school holidays might be done and dusted, but that doesn't mean you have to return to your 9-5 just yet. Especially when there are so many juicy travel sales this week.

If you're itching to pay one of our international neighbours a visit, Virgin Australia has heard the call and has taken up to 25 per cent off international fares across its network. Sample fares to get the ideas flowing include Melbourne to Queenstown from $439 return, Brisbane to Port Vila (Vanuatu) from $479 return and Melbourne to Denpasar from $499 return.

For those who love to see more and do more (without having to pay more), Flight Centre has dropped a bombshell, slashing prices on multi-stop travel through to Honolulu and Los Angeles to as little as $1233 return. Two holidays for the price of one? Yes, please! You'll be flying on Hawaiian Airlines with this one, and if you're interested in other cities, multi-stop flights to Honolulu and San Francisco start from $1394 return, to Honolulu and Las Vegas from $1586 return and to Honolulu and New York from $1878 return. 

Europe flights on Etihad are still nice and low with fares to Rome from $1392 return, Milan from $1401 return, Barcelona from $1436 return, London from $1481 return and Paris from $1434 return.

Those looking to snag some last-minute flights to Hong Kong to catch the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations can hit up Mix&Match where full service seats on Hong Kong Airlines are down to $1049 return. Travel is available until February 15, 2025 so you'll have to have your passport ready and your bags packed.

If you're the kind to knock flights and accommodation off in one go, you're in luck as Escape Deals has a smattering of discounts on resorts worldwide.

The five-star Alila Seminyak in Bali is a steal with three-night stays down to $1489 per room and in Hong Kong, the architectural wonder that is the Hotel Alexandria Hong Kong is down 25 per cent, to $348 per room for two nights.

Over at Luxury Escapes you can pamper yourself locally for less. They've got two-nights stays at The Crown Metropol Melbourne for $559 per room and up to 47 per cent off The Star Residences on the Gold Coast. That's three nights from $599 per apartment for those of you playing at home.
