WHAT SONGS WILL TAYLOR SWIFT PERFORM ON THE ERAS AUSTRALIA TOUR?
Swift’s Eras setlist is certainly one for the ages. She performs for a massive three hours with only small breaks for costume changes. The singer performs songs from every single one of her ten albums except her eponymous debut.
The show starts with the Lover album before going through to Fearless, evermore, Reputation, Speak Now, Red, folklore, 1989 and Midnights.
But Swift also surprises fans with two additional songs every night. These surprise songs are performed in between the 1989 and Midnights sets. She only plays each surprise song once so it’s bad luck if your favourite has been played on the tour already. Swift has also revealed she will repeat a song only if she makes a mistake or if it is from her latest album, Midnights.
Swift’s Australian shows will be supported by American singer and actor Sabrina Carpenter.
WHAT ARE THE TOP TIPS FOR GETTING TICKETS FOR TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS AUSTRALIA TOUR?
There is no use sugar-coating it, the demand for tickets is going to far outstrip the number of tickets. So to ensure you have as smooth a checkout as possible, we spoke to Ticketek to get their best tips.
“It’s never too soon to start preparing and these simple steps will ensure you’re prepared when tickets go on sale,” says a Ticketek spokesperson.
They advise:
•Double check your Ticketek account and payment details are up to date. Have your login details handy as you’ll need them to complete your purchase.
•If you are a Frontier Member, save your pre-sale code. This will be sent to you by Frontier Touring and will be needed to access the Frontier Pre-sale.
•Gather your fellow fans and plan your purchase by agreeing on the performance date, ticket price category and any packages you want to purchase.
For when the tickets go on sale, Ticketek shared the following tips for the best chance of getting through to purchase your tickets.
•Visit Ticketek at least 15 minutes prior to tickets going on sale. Follow the designated link for your desired city to be taken to the Ticketek Lounge.
•Please don’t leave the Lounge page or refresh your browser. The page will refresh itself frequently to let more fans through to purchase. Once you’re in the Lounge, sit tight and wait to be let through to the event page.
•Once you’re through, keep an eye on the timer and complete your purchase within the time frame.
According to Twitter user @marieeldrid, who “fought in the Battle of Ticketmaster in November 2022 for the Eras Tour” in the US, these are her tips to getting tickets.
•Make sure your Ticketmaster (or Ticketek in our case) account is complete with all your info before the sale. Add your card details in advance, ideally more than one card. Set up a PayPal just in case (my card payment didn’t work, so PayPal saved me).
•When tickets go on sale, DO NOT open the page on multiple devices or windows. For the USA presale, we could only use one device and one page. If you wanna do multiple, you need multiple accounts with different emails.
•Decide in advance what’s the most you’re willing to pay. Make sure you have that sum on your account, as the prices and extra fees might be more than you expect. When I got through the queue, I had to choose between $800 VIP seats and nosebleeds, which were still overpriced.
•Make sure you’re online and logged in 5-10 minutes before the sale starts. You CANNOT be late, or else you’ll be in the end of a queue with tens of thousands of people. You need to get in as early as possible.
•The queue – I had to wait over 2 hours. The website might crash, too. Try not to refresh the page if you can and make sure your internet connection is stable that day.
•The goal is to see an actual number in the queue and not “2000+ people” ahead of you. Fun fact: if you pull up the page code, you can see the competition. I was behind 15.000+ ppl. But once you see an actual number, you’ll be on the ticket page in a few minutes.
•Once you get to the sale page, you have to be FAST! No time to think, just grab the first tickets you can afford and run to the check out. Getting your hands on the tickets for the popular dates from resellers will be hard, so you really want to succeed during the official sale!
Good luck, Swifties! See you in the queue.
