At news.com.au checkout shopping isn’t just our job, it’s our passion.

We can’t get enough of a good sale, plus if we love a product, we won’t stop raving about it.

Here we’ve rounded up all our favourite products we’ve tried and tested lately — our top pick is the newly launched product from cult beauty brand, Ole Henriksen – the Banana Bright+ Instant Glow Moisturiser.

Yep, that’s right, there’s now a cream version of the wildly popular Banana Bright Eye Cream. Plus, our resident beauty expert Marina Tatas gives it her tick of approval for insanely glowy skin. Just look at her!

We also cannot recommend enough this Avanti Go Cup Double Wall Travel Cup, which keeps drinks cold for 16 hours or hot for eight hours. Best of all, it’s just $13.

Here’s everything else the news.com.au checkout team has been loving lately. Happy shopping!

“I’ve been an Ole Henriksen fan for about six years now, and in particular, I’ve always been obsessed with the Banana Bright Eye Cream. So you can imagine my excitement when the news about this Banana Bright face cream dropped. This is everything I could have hoped for and more. Beware it is a thicker consistency – it’s a beautifully nourishing cream, not a gel, so I find you do need to warm it up in your hands a bit before applying. But once it settles, it makes your skin look amazing. It layers great under makeup, really making your skin look and feel super hydrated and glowy. I am planning to repurchase this over and over again – thank you Ole!” – Marina Tatas, Shopping Writer

“I’ve been looking for a travel mug that’s budget friendly, easy to clean, spill proof and can keep my drinks hot (or cold) for hours. This hits all the spots! As much as I love going to the local cafe, the mug is a great way to save some cash (and honestly feel less guilty about not finishing a $7 small soy flat white every day). I wish it was a bit bigger so I could use it for other types of drinks or add more ice when making an iced latte. It fits slightly less than a regular mug, although it does come in larger sizes as well as a few different colours and prints. Regardless, the Avanti Double Wall Go Cup has won me over and I’m now set on getting its taller sibling.” – Tahnee-Jae Lopez-Vito, Shopping Writer

GEM Electric Toothbrush in Coconut. Picture: Myer

“By far, the most aesthetic toothbrush I have ever used, the Gem electric toothbrush has seriously changed up my oral hygiene routine. But not only does it look great sitting on my bathroom vanity but it simply works well too. Featuring three modes, sensitive, white and clean, as well as a 30 second timer so you know when to switch to different areas of your mouth, this toothbrush really does it all. I had been wanting to swap to an electric toothbrush for a while now because I’d heard they produced a much more thorough clean and I couldn’t be happier with this one.” – Philippa Tonkin, Shopping Writer

“As someone who lives in activewear it’s been annoying to have to retire a lot of my favourite sets during pregnancy. But at seven months pregnant I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find this STAX. SECONDLEFT Premium Seamless sets is one of my most comfy outfits despite how fitted it is. The bike shorts don’t dig in and the top and bralette have plenty of stretch. They’re super flattering and make me feel put together even on days when I’m feeling less than put together. The bralette is also so comfy it’s entered my everyday rotation!” – Hannah Paine, Editor

“I recently moved into an apartment with a bathtub (a luxury in Sydney) and, after deciding to pretty much live in it, purchased this bamboo bath caddy.

It has everything I need for a relaxing night in, including a wine glass holder (essential), a book and tablet rest, phone holder, candle/cup holder, and plenty of room for snacks and other essentials. It fits perfectly over my bath thanks to the adjustable sides and is super easy to pack away and store whenever it’s not in use. My only complaint is it makes wanting to get out of the tub a challenge.” – Lauren Chaplin, Consumer Technology Reporter

“As you can see, I’ve been all about the vitamin C lately. This new serum from Dr Naomi is such a favourite of mine right now – it’s a beautiful consistency that absorbs into the skin super easy. And the way it makes my skin look … just WOW. The glow is real! I’ve been using this for about three weeks now and I can already tell a difference in my skin – it’s a pricey serum but it works wonders for me.” – Marina Tatas, Shopping Writer

“I’ll be the first to admit that this is incredibly pricey for six sheet masks but hand-on-heart, I have never seen results like this from a regular sheet mask before. I popped this on after getting out of the shower, and per instructions, left it on for around 30 minutes. I followed that up with my regular night-time skincare routine and my skin the next morning looked and felt amazing. I noticed such a drastic change. Not only did it feel so much bouncier and more plump, but my complexion genuinely was more even and had such a radiant glow. Plus, there was so much essence left over in the tube that I was able to use it as an essence/serum in the few nights afterwards. If you’re looking to splurge, this is definitely something I would recommend.” – Philippa Tonkin, Shopping Writer

“I’ll admit, I haven’t had the best experiences with non-stick cookware. But this Circulon frypan has absolutely changed my mind, and more importantly my fiance’s who is an absolute food snob when it comes to what cookwear he uses – for him, it’s stainless steel or nothing. Despite being non-stick the frypan feels more like cast iron, it’s heavy duty and cooks food so well with no oil. I like using it to cook eggs or pancakes – foods that can be notoriously hard to fry on stainless steel frypans unless you use a lot of oil. My fiance even likes to use it to seal meat before popping it in the oven. The one downside is it takes a while to heat up but it’s so easy to clean and more importantly, gets the tick of approval from my partner who swore he would never use non-stick cookware.” – Hannah Paine, Editor

“These Merry People Tully rainboots really came into their own recently when Sydney copped a drenching. Not only did my feet stay dry and toasty as I trudged through puddles, the chunky heel gave me a little extra height so that I wasn’t ankle deep in rain water. These aren’t cheap but I’ve owned them for around a year now and they’ve been perfectly dependable every time it’s rained.” – Edwina Carr Barraclough, Senior Manager Ecommerce Content and Strategy

“Daylight savings is over and winter is well and truly on the way which means saying goodbye to singlets and investing in some quality activewear pieces that will actually keep me warm on my morning walks. This ribbed long sleeve top from P.E. Nation is the perfect option. Made from a super luxe feeling, lightweight ribbed fabrication, it has just the right amount of stretch too. Personally, I’m not a fan of the holes for your thumbs so I just let it bunch up a little bit around my wrists but if that’s something you like, you’re sure to be happy with this pick.” – Philippa Tonkin, Shopping Writer

The Pact by Lisa Darcy. Picture: Supplied/Susannah Hardy

“I’m a long-term fan of Lisa Darcy’s work and was super excited to read The Pact, which did not disappoint. The novel follows the journey of sisters and tennis duo, Samantha and Annie Callahan as they deal with the pressures and heartbreaks of professional tennis. Sam is the driving force behind the pair, yet when Annie falls for the wrong man, their lives and careers descend into chaos. With great skill, Darcy explores the often-complicated relationship between sisters and by the end, the reader is cheering for both of the dynamic duo, on and off the court. An uplifting story that showcases Darcy’s ever warm and readable voice and gives rare and accurate insight into professional sport, not to mention falling in love and starting over. I don’t play tennis, I don’t have a sister, yet I couldn’t put it down. Definitely recommended.” – Susannah Hardy, Shopping Writer

“I love Lovevery Play Kits! They’re sustainably made and the toys match up perfectly with what my daughter needs at each stage of her development. She’s still playing with some of the toys she got when she was just a few months old. I signed up for these back in 2022 when she was born, but had to stop for a bit (cozzy livs). Then I realised, buying cheaper toys that she got bored of quickly wasn’t saving me any cash at all. Lovevery toys are high quality, colourful, interesting and seem like they’ll last forever. Plus, my daughter’s face lights up every time a new kit shows up, which is priceless. Lovevery Play Kit subscriptions start from $130 per play kit.” – Kara Byers, Partnerships Editor

“I’ve recently moved from my everyday pram over to a travel pram – and honestly I would never go back. These things are so light and pack so small it’s incredible! I’ve tried a few travel prams now and Bugaboo is near-perfect. It folds and unfolds in a split second, has an extremely generous canopy (a must for the Australian summer) and comes with a rain cover that packs down so small you can slip it under the seat, saving you that precious basket space. My only wish is that it had a full recline, but perhaps they can fix that in the next version? (Hint, hint).” – Stephanie Yip, eCommerce Travel Writer
