Mejuri is the brand on everyone’s lips right now. Spotted on celebs like Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, the accessibly priced jewellery brand is hard to escape.
And who would want to? Not only is Mejuri incredibly popular but it’s actually worth all the hype and more. Since its inception in 2015, the US brand has focused on creating high-quality pieces that work for special occasions and for every day too.
One of the brand’s most popular styles is the Bold Pearl Drop Earrings. Worn by both Gigi Hadid and Ariana Grande, these pearl earrings are a far cry from the classic pearl studs your grandma likes to wear.
Made from 18k gold vermeil with freshwater pearls, they’re also available at a reasonable price of $168.
Mejuri’s gold vermeil is slightly different to regular gold plating. The vermeil is a thick layer of 18k solid gold on sterling silver which means it will last a lot longer than the budget gold-plated option you bought at Westfield.
Taylor Swift, arguably the biggest star in the world right now, is also a Mejuri fan.
Who can forget the first time Swift went onto the football field to celebrate Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs making it the Super Bowl? In that highly photographed moment, Swift was spotted wearing Mejuri’s Heirloom Ring in Garnet, the perfect Kansas City Chiefs red. She then donned it again for the Super Bowl the week later with the good luck charm seemingly paying off to bring home a win for the Chiefs.
The same ring has also been spotted on Bella Hadid.
“There’s this amazing video of Bella Hadid on a motorcycle blowing bubblegum and our Heirloom Ring in Garnet is front and centre — I love how playful it is; she’s wearing our piece in an everyday moment,” founder Noura Sakkijha previously told Vogue.
Similarly, Meghan Markle wore the Charlotte Bold Ring, last November to the Variety Power of Women Gala. Available in slim, bold and original versions, Markle opted for the bold version which retails for $198 compared to the original Charlotte Ring which costs a neat $1200. The royal also paired the ring with the $168 Chunky Huggie Hoops from Mejuri, too.
The Charlotte Slim Ring is, you guessed it, slightly slimmer and a great option for those who aren’t after anything too chunky. Made from 18k gold vermeil, this one will last for years.
The Charlotte Collection in general is a huge hit. It-girl Hailey Bieber even wore the Charlotte Bold Hoops to Coachella a few years back.
The Dome Collection is one of the brand’s most popular ranges, in particular the Thin Dôme Ring is a bestseller. With four different metals available including 14k yellow and white gold and the more affordable 18k gold vermeil and sterling silver, there is a Thin Dome Ring for everyone.
The Thin Dome has been designed to sit alongside the original Dome Ring and they fit perfectly stacked together.
Also part of the iconic Dome collection, are the Dome Huggies. The lobe-hugging earrings are the perfect everyday pair and work just as well on their own as they do with other piercings.
And yes, while the brand has been given the A-list seal of approval, co-founder and CEO Noura Sakkijha, founded the brand not for the celebs of the world but instead for all women to find pieces that elevate their every day.
After feeling disconnected from an industry that typically marketed to men, the third generation jeweller decided to go out on her own. In the six years since launching, Mejuri has a team of 75 per cent women, a repeat order rate of 45 per cent, has shipped over 3.5 million orders to over 1.8 million customers and has over 110,000 five-star reviews.
It’s clearly not your average small business.
