Remember that viral video of Hugh Jackman recognising one of his old students on the red carpet and they spent the whole interview catching up? Turns out Taylor Swift takes a page out of the same personability playbook and makes a point of remembering the names and small details of those around her.
Star of both Tubi’s new original movie Slay and RuPaul’s Drag Race (season 9, All Stars 4 and All Stars 7), Trinity The Tuck has rubbed shoulders with plenty of celebrities, but evidently Taylor stands out from the pack.
While filming the music video for her hit ‘You Need to Calm Down’, Trinity witnessed Taylor’s charisma first-hand.
“I was really surprised with how she actually took the time to catch up and talk with us and get to know us. She was backstage for over two hours talking to us about our life, her cats and just hanging out. She really took care of her cast and staff and she pays everyone so well.”
The kindness didn’t stop there. When Taylor won the MTV Award for the video, she shared the glory.
“I have an MTV Award because she made sure everybody that was in her music video got one as well.”
Trinity also dished on her cult beauty favourites and one disgusting daily beauty hack.

BIGGEST MISTAKE PEOPLE MAKE WHEN IT COMES TO MAKEUP?
“Using too much primer because when you use too much primer sometimes whatever you put on top of it can either shift, move, or slip and it doesn’t look good. It can also look cakey and uneven.”
WHAT’S THE BEST INDUSTRY BEAUTY SECRET?
“Filters. I think that everybody filters and Facetunes. No one is ever honest and when you see anything online or in magazines, it’s always altered. So don’t try to compare yourself to filtered and altered pictures because it’s never reality.”
WHAT ITEMS ARE IN YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE?
“When you wear this much makeup all the time it’s super important to make sure that you are taking care of your skin. I love exfoliators. Neutrogena has a really great one and it’s great for acne prone skin, I love it. That’s the one I gravitate towards the most.”
Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Face Scrub, $10.79 (down from $18) at Amazon Australia
“And then I love Kiehl’s avocado eye cream and sometimes I’ll use the cream as a moisturiser all over [my face]. It’s just phenomenal.”
Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, $69 at Kiehl’s
WHAT’S YOUR BEST UNSEXY BEAUTY HACK?
“Don’t judge me, this is disgusting. And don’t ever do this but I sometimes will use a very thin brush, lick it and dip it into my eyeshadow as eyeliner. It’s so gross but it works.”
Charlotte’s Palette of Beautifying Eye Trends, $97 at Charlotte Tilbury
ANY ADVICE FOR UP AND COMING DRAG QUEENS?
“If you’re going to do it, do your research. Make sure that you invest in makeup and your practising all kinds of styles and find what works for you. Get three pairs of wigs, three pairs of costumes, three pairs of shoes, learn three songs, and that’s a full show.”
