Secret St Kevin’s Facebook page exposed with post labelling opposition “scum”

A secret St Kevin’s College Facebook page urges the school faithful to rally around as the rugby first XV takes on “scum” opponents, and jokes about a student getting “real freaky” at the mothers’ houses of other players.

A secret St Kevin’s College Facebook page urges the school faithful to rally around as the rugby first XV takes on the “scum” of the APS in the grand final.

The school’s best rugby players will be up against Brighton Grammar in a match played at Trinity Grammar on Saturday at 12.30pm.

The Herald Sun has been sent the post from the private Skevs Cartel 2024 Facebook group, which makes jokes about a student – who is named – getting “REAL freaky” at the mothers’ houses of other players. The post talks about “tugging”, “gimps” and names certain players as the “best fat deadsh*ts”.

It is not an official school site and has no direct connection to the school.

The group has 530 members and puts up two posts a day.

On August 3, the St Kevin’s rugby team beat Scotch College by 38 points to 19 in the semi-final.

The St Kevin’s first rugby team is unbeaten this season and is on top of the ladder of the Victorian Schools Rugby Union competition which includes APS (Associated Public Schools) and AGSV (Associated Grammar Schools Victoria) teams from the state’s elite schools.

It comes as St Kevin’s continues to face the fallout from the actions of former school leaders, with investigations still ongoing over the handling of reportable conduct allegations by past senior staff.

Earlier this week it was revealed female teachers at St Kevin’s College faced disciplinary action following vindictive claims made about them by male students.

The Herald Sun was contacted by a number of college staff members who are risking their jobs by speaking out about their treatment at the school.

Teachers also said the school culture had reached “a new low” last month after boys were caught in a lewd TikTok challenge resulting in a female teacher receiving counselling.

Multiple sources, at the time, told Herald Sun the acts involved sexualised behaviour, causing widespread concern throughout the teaching body.

One source said the acts, which involved boys in a year 11 class, were part of an ongoing wider challenge linked to a dare wheel used by senior footballers at the school.
