Frustrated parents say a trouble-plagued primary school in Melbourne’s west is at “breaking point” after students defecated on the floors and smeared faeces on the walls.

The Herald Sun understands the disturbing incidents took place in the bathrooms at Eynesbury Primary School this week.

Sanitary items were also disposed of incorrectly, causing blocked pipes.

In a letter to parents, assistant principal Ashlee May described the incidents as serious, unhygienic and disruptive.

“I’m reaching out today to ask for your support in speaking with your children about the importance of respecting our school property, particularly our bathrooms,” she wrote on an online school forum.

“Recently, we’ve encountered several serious incidents, including urination and defecation on the floor, smearing of faeces on the walls, and the improper disposal of sanitary items, leading to blocked pipes.

“These actions not only create an unhygienic environment but also disrupt the school community and require significant time and resources to address.”

Ms May urged parents to have a conversation with their children about “proper bathroom etiquette”.

“We believe that with your help in reinforcing the importance of proper bathroom etiquette and respect for shared spaces, we can prevent these incidents from recurring,” she said.

“Please have a conversation with your child about the impact of their actions on others and the importance of taking care of our school environment.”

A concerned father told the Herald Sun said he was shocked incidents continue to occur at the school.

“We are at breaking point,” he said.

“This is the cherry on top after all the allegations and previous issues.”

Another mother said the ongoing incidents were “gut-wrenching”.

“Enough is enough, our children deserve to feel safe at school and I don’t think the complaints are being handled adequately,” she said.

“So many children and teachers have left the school, there is a high turnover of staff. “Parents are demanding an investigation into these incidents.”

In recent months, the school has come under fire following a litany of complaints including serious allegations of students sexually touching others during recess.

In one shocking case, a student allegedly assaulted a child multiple times, prompting an investigation from the Department of Education.

In another incident, a mother took her five-year-old daughter to Royal Children’s Hospital after she was allegedly touched by two five-year boys.
