Teenager charged with murder over death of Aguer Akech
A teenager is set to face a Children’s Court after he was charged with murder over the death of 17-year-old Aguer Akech in Melbourne’s northwest last year.

A teenager has been charged with murder five months after 17-year-old Aguer Akech was killed in a brawl in Melbourne’s northwest.
Aguer was fatally stabbed in a violent clash between two groups of youths at Keilor Plains train station early on December 22 last year.
At the time, police arrested 10 people, however all were later released.
Police made a breakthrough on Wednesday when officers from the anti-gangs Echo taskforce arrested a 15-year-old boy on Bourke St in Melbourne’s CBD.
The 15-year-old was charged with one count of murder and will appear at a Children’s Court.
Following his death, Aguer’s devastated mother, Martha Mayola, said her son was “a very good boy”.
