A raid has been carried out in Ballarat over the disappearance and suspected murder of Kobie Parfitt.

Missing persons squad detectives have raided a property in Hickman St as part of their inquiry into what happened after she vanished on April 28 this year.

Forensic officers have also examined the property.

Police this week said mother-of-four Ms Parfitt was last seen alive at a Hickman St house.

Detective Insp. Andrew Stamper said an extensive investigation in a short space of time had police on the cusp of finding those behind Ms Parfitt’s death.

“The investigation has led us to determine that Kobie was last seen alive at a property on Hickman Street on 28 April, and we believe she was murdered the same day,” Insp. Stamper said.

“We have returned to the area a number of times already and will continue to do so every time we receive new information.

“I’ve said before, we know there are people in the community who know what happened to Kobie and we urge those who we haven’t already spoken to, to contact us.”

Insp. Stamper said investigators were continuing to receive significant information and it was a matter of time before there were arrests.

“Our investigators are sifting through every piece of information and I would like to thank the public for their continued response to our appeals for information and urge anyone else with information to come forward,” he said.

Anyone with information regarding Kobie’s death is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
