Bikie warfare was once something the broader public read about but never saw.

Nowadays, ubiquitous CCTV has brought graphic vision of these crimes to our screens and provided police investigators with vital evidence.

Attempted hits, drive-by shootings and bombings linked to outlaw motorcycle gang members have all been captured in recent years in Victoria.

Members from gangs including the Mongols, Comancheros, Finks, Bandidos and Bros are among those on the wrong end of the violence caught on camera.

ROBERT ALE

The pain of getting himself inked turned out to be nothing when gunmen burst into a Hampton Park tattoo parlour and blasted Robert Ale in 2018.

Ale, the former right-hand man of Comanchero boss Mick Murray, somehow survived the attack at the Nitro Ink business.

Footage shows the masked shooters get out of a car as onlookers quickly read the play and make themselves scarce.

The hit team walk inside and emerge seconds later, having repeatedly shot Ale and left holes in walls with the bullets that missed.

Things have not gotten much better for Ale, who is now doing a long stretch in prison.

Notorious Fink member Brent Reker found himself on the wrong end of bikie violence in 2018.

Video later released by the Echo taskforce showed Reker’s car burst into flames and a man sprinting back to a waiting vehicle.

In the first of two assaults on the Bray St property in June last year, a masked gunman wearing a radio and a ballistic vest walks to the front porch and opens fire.

He repeatedly kicks the front door and shouts: “Open up you f...ing c.... Open up. Open up.”

Both cases are the subject of active investigation by the Echo taskforce.

BROS YARRAVILLE HQ

The Bros are one of Victoria’s more low-key OMCG groups.

But an understated presence doesn’t mean you can’t make enemies in the bikie world.

Bikie shootout in Yarraville

Up to 50 club members were partying at the Bros’ Yarraville HQ in March, 2016, when they came under fire.

CCTV audio records four shots being fired by a gunman before three return rounds are launched at him.

One of the group at the clubhouse was left with a leg wound while another was shot in the stomach.
