Frankston footy clubhouse targeted in failed ram raid
The Frankston Bombers’ clubhouse was previously targeted by crooks before this morning’s ram raid, with the club’s president saying the already hurting club was “devastated” by the shocking incident.

A suburban footy club has been targeted in an early morning ram raid.
Crooks reversed a stolen car into the front doors of a footy club located on the corner of Sages and Baxter-Tooradin roads in Frankston South about 5.45am.
The car was left wedged inside the building as the offenders fled.

Police do not believe nothing was stolen.
Frankston Bombers Football Netball Club president Jason Smith said he was “devastated” by the shocking incident.
“This is the second time this has happened to our club in the space of a few months, it’s really shocking,” Mr Smith said.
“There’s more than $10,000 worth of the damage, they didn’t steal anything, but it has really upset all of us at the club,” he said.
He said the club would now look into beefing up its security.
“We are going to most likely install bollards and look at other security measures.
“This is just a blatant disregard of property. To do this to our club or any, especially during these times when we’re already hurting is just unacceptable.”
