Eastern Freeway Porsche driver a ‘threat’ to council staffers

The driver of a Porsche who allegedly taunted a dying police officer in the Eastern Freeway tragedy was previously banned from entering two local council buildings amid claims he posed a danger to staff after a campaign of vengeance.

Porsche driver Richard Pusey denied bail over Eastern Freeway crash

The Porsche driver who allegedly taunted a dying police officer in the Eastern Freeway crash terrorised a federal politician and neighbours in a campaign of vengeance that saw him banned from two local councils.

Both Frankston and Whitehorse councils banned Richard Pusey, 41, from entering council buildings claiming he was a danger to staff, it can be revealed.

In a series of breaches, Pusey covered his face with a mask and confronted the cashier’s desk at Whitehorse Civic Centre on two occasions and joked about “wearing my burka again” when threatened with jail time for breaching Frankston Council’s prohibition order.

Frankston City Council Mayor Sandra Mayer said: “In very rare cases, behaviour by a member of the public may warrant them being issued a notice prohibiting them from visiting buildings owned, occupied or managed by Frankston City Council.

“These matters are confidential and to protect the safety and privacy of all involved, I am unable to comment on the specifics of such cases.”

The mortgage broker also allegedly repeatedly harassed Federal MP Michael Sukkar when his office refused to intervene in Pusey’s longstanding dispute with Whitehorse City Council over the height of the fence at his former Mitcham home.

A series of emails and faxes obtained by the Herald Sun give further insight into Pusey’s mind.

In one vile exchange he blew up at Etihad Airways staff over the spelling of “airport” and spelt it out as ‘a —hole, incest, rape, porn, orgasm, rape, tits” while requesting a limousine to pick him and his wife, Ahn Truong, from London Stansted Airport in 2015.

Pusey also went around his neighbourhood in 2013-15 dobbing in at least nine fences he did not believe were up to standard amid his own war with council about the fence on his Whitehorse Rd home.

Some of his complaints were written in Vietnamese and Pusey wrote to the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission when council would not respond to them.

Pusey and his wife boast a real estate portfolio of more than $12 million.

Pusey first came into the spotlight in 2016 when he told the cancer-stricken wife of a tradie to “Get some more f------g cancer you stupid f-----g s---, I hope you f-----g die” over a pay dispute.

He is accused of taunting Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor on camera as she gasped for help after she and Senior Constable Kevin King, Constable Glen Humphris and Constable Josh Prestney were hit by a truck on the freeway on April 22. All four officers died.

The video was shared on social media and Pusey, allegedly high on ice and cannabis, is said to have fled the scene.

He had been pulled over for allegedly doing 149 kmh in his Porsche 911.

Pusey is at Melbourne Assessment Prison where sources said he has become a meek “cell-dweller” since being refused bail last month. He faces charges including failing to render assistance, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, and three counts of committing an indictable offence while on bail.
